@@hexkwondo Not really. His strength is largely a factor of his healing. He works out hard, tears the muscles, heals in minutes, rinse and repeat. With the right training he'd be just as strong, but being lighter he'd be faster and more agile.

Faster then a wild animal. He's kept pace with Captain America a few times,we all know Cap can run faster then a car going full speed. Granted Wolverine matching Cap's was only for a short period but that still means he's freaking fast.

But how would stored energy in your bones translate to jumping or fighting ability? You use your muscles to jump and hit, not stored energy in your bones. If anything he'd just end up blowing chunks of flesh off every now and then when he has to release the kinetic energy from his bones. Plus if he's lighter he won't hit as hard unless he's channeling the kinetic energy directly through his claws but even then I can't see him doing that without blowing his hands to pieces and then needing to regenerate after each use.

He's seen as a gritty character from his personality and experience, I remember hearing that the idea behind wolverine originally was a character who would lived through the world wars and had hundreds of years of combat experience.

Yeah, from my understanding, Adamantium is considerably stronger and can cut through almost anything. Vibranium is better at absorbing impacts, which is why we usually only see it used for armor or shields.

that was my first thought. It would totally change his fighting style or make it worse (he tends to forget he knows a lot of martial arts) so an increase to his healing factor might make him more reckless.

Might as well say there's already a universe where this is reality. Only problem is weapon X would've been experimenting with vibranium on the others too.

Most writers forget the fact that wolverine's healing factor somewhat changed the properties of the adamantium to what's called Adamantium Beta, which made it possible for his bones to work normally despite the metal. The poisoning angle was retconnned into wolverine sometime later though. (which makes little to no sense, but hey, comics, am I right? 😅)

True. But at the lower weight his punch force would be lower, since the force is dependent on mass. Likewise, bullets colliding with him would push him back a lot more. So, a mini-gun would be impossible for normally-weighted Wolwerine to power through. Unlike Superman or Omni-man, Wolwerine is reliant on support and weight to have a steadfast factor.

So to clarify, no, it wouldn't be just where he got hit, Vibranium specifically disperses any impact in any point of it equally all throughout the surface of the material, that's what makes it nearly indestructible, It's a really durable metal in of itself but on top of that you would need to hit it hard enough to shatter all of it at once if you even want to damage it because the more surface area it has the better it disperses that energy, great for a suit or a shield but you REALLY don't want that inside of you, it WILL send a force explosion when you hit it

Have you ever seen "ex men: wolverine"? They're videos where professor x fires the xmen, they're all on KZfaq. There's a great line in the wolverine one where professor x presents a hypothetical attack by magneto and wolverine yells very enthusiastically "I'm going to run at him!" It's hilarious but as the video points out... he's not great. His weapons have very little range and he doesn't have any powers like flight to help him traverse distances faster. He's unstoppable sure, but without the xmen to fly him around he's just a furry 5 foot ball of rage

Adamantium is poisoning his body, that is why a good portion of his healing factor is allocated to stop the poisoning from killing him.

Also, Vibranium's a lot weaker than Adamantium so his claws wouldn't be able to cut Vibranium anymore and his bones could be bent. Just imagine in his 1st fight with the Hulk his rib cage gives in, he never breathes again. Not to mention that everything Vibranium adsorbs, it must also release, so Wolvie go boom.

@kurticeberg4566 Yes. Adamantium vibranium alloy takes the best of both. But getting that much vibranium is very difficult. Unless you're in wakanda and part of the upper society. Not only that, but the process to combine the two was lost. Which is why no one else has a shield like caps.

Actually, the process wasn't lost, because it was never known. The man who created the alloy used for the shield did so by accident and was never able to replicate it due to not knowing how he did it the first time. It is also listed as a vibranium metal alloy, and isn't confirmed to consist of adamantium at all. And if we are talking about the MCU variant, then it is a purely vibranium shield, not an alloy at all.

He'd explode but since he's the Wolverine he would also regenerate... win win!

@connaeris8230 only in the ultimate universe is his regeneration power so strong that he can regenerate from a single cell. In regular lore, if you can destroy his heart or brain, he will die. Basically, anything that is an essentially instant death kills him before his powers can start regenerating. Your skeleton exploding would destroy his entire body. Which would kill him. Except ultimate universe wolverine, who can regenerate with a single cell alive. Somehow, it only creates one body, even if splattered everywhere. Nick Fury actually used this flaw, by chopping off his head and stopping it from growing a new body. I forget how he stops it. But he keeps the head around, and talks to it. He can't die and I think the reason he doesn't fully destroy the head. Like in a volcano or something is that he believes it will cause blood or a cell of wolverine or in the world somewhere to become the dominant life and start regenerating.

Vibranium has also demonstrated its ability to be adapted to a wide range of applications and alloy with different metals. I'm pretty certain a method could be worked out.

I don't think it's that drastic if Captain America and Black Panther don't really say anything about it

@@D0W666 Comic Book vibranium actually ISN'T stronger than adamantium, the MCU did that because explaining that Cap's shield is an alloy made from combination Vibranium and steel that wasn't able to be replicated was _apparently_ too complicated. Vibranium does absorb vibrations and kinetic but it doesn't have adamantiums shear durability nor does it have its resistant to high temperatures, among other things. What IS stronger than adamantium is that aforementioned alloy that was used to make Cap's shield, the one made _with_ vibranium.

I thought they came from the same ore. The scientist that forged vibranium tried to do it again but did something backwards and created adamantium. Maybe it’s the other way around

Haven't heard anyone mention that since the og wolverine game on ps2 lol yet it's one of his strongest traits.

Wolverine is badass however he isn’t a Giga chad lol.

He's like 5'3 and head to toe with muscle and hair. He also drinks and smokes A LOT.

That ... doesn't check out. Wolverine was born in the 19th century. He didn't go through the Weapon X program until sometime in the latter 20th century. He wasn't feral the entire time prior to that.
