Ever wonder what a green scapular is? A lot of Catholics have questions about these lesser known traditions and are afraid to ask. I've got you covered. It's a sacramental used in Catholicism for the conversion of others OR the improvement of one's own spirituality. It is accompanied by a short daily prayer for the person (self or other). I'm 2 years new to the faith - first thing for my son was to obtain one, have it blessed and send it to him. Told him exactly what it is for and where to put it. My send him a 2nd one, smaller for his wallet, or something he keeps on him. Evil' coming and heaven' defense is a must. Ty for posting this for those Catholics who aren't even aware of this (you'd be surprised). God bless.

I received an old used hand me down green scapular. I assume it’s been blessed by whichever my family member owned it prior as we are a catholic family. I ordered me a new one. Do I need to get that one blessed? Is it the same as getting a new brown scapular?

It's my understanding that each one needs to be blessed separately. This may be a good question for your priest though!

It would be a great idea to give a scapula to all of the cancer patients in all of the hospitals and all of those poor people would be cured of their cancer. This would be a great thing for the Roman Catholic church to do. Of course the drug manufacturers would not like it.

I wore the brown scapula for 2 yrs and prayed daily the Rosary for over 4yrs I noticed instead of progress and healing I felt worse and had to stop as it created tension and more pain. I smashed the Crucifix to the floor and don't know why and receive no answer anywhere. After a few weeks a priest told me to start praying the Rosary again. A month later I had to stop..........the pain was unbearable. In the past I've asked priests about exorcism; they just walk away. The bishop only allows one Latin Mass a month. In every town there should be Latin Mass, esp. each Sunday. The country I live is now more secular and the bishops are condoning same sex unions...................guess? You can't bless sin. Difficult to be a Catholic.......and yet I wouldn't want to be anything else......the one true faith given to us by God.........I wish I could serve better

Sure sounds like you have something demonic going on. You can't have looked all that into it, though, or else you would have found Father Chad Ripperger, bought his books, and listened to his lectures. Just about everybody can free themselves using the information he provides, but it requires a lot of really hard, serious work. Most people simply don't want to do it. I know all about this, because I used to be an atheist and a fake psychic fortune teller at a Renaissance Faire, and after I was miraculously converted back to Catholicism, all of the sudden I had a poltergeist and other supernatural demonic attacks upon me. They are incredibly, incredibly difficult to get rid of and require you to lead a very disciplined and holy life. You can start by making Confession a regular part of your life on at least a bi-weekly basis - because Confession is more powerful than exorcism - and get Ripperger's books. You're clearly not living a really solid Catholic life or else you wouldn't have these problems, and you're going to be stuck with this and you're probably going to go to Hell if you don't get real serious and change your life. Good luck. PS: If you have SSPX, go there. My on the spot miraculous conversion happened in an SSPX chapel.

Keep believing in the true teachings of the Catholic faith. Never think abortion or same sex marriage is from God. We know Satan has been given a span of time to test us, the church. Read the Word from your Bible. Wear the Spiritual Armour mentioned in Ephesians. Never throw down a crucifix, as that is dishonouring Our Lord. Try to forgive yourself for not having patience. Go to Confession if it is safe to. Covid is still out there. If you fear that Satan has a claim on you, get exorcism, from a trustworthy Catholic priest. Wear a Saint Benedict medal with the exorcism old well loved prayer, Vade Retro Satana. Begone Satan. Read decent books about the lives of the saints. Implore Saint Michael to protect your soul. Purgatory is a place in the next life where souls are purged of sins. Pray the Holy Rosary for yourself and the Holy Souls. Keep going to Holy Mass if you are not as tormented as I got at some Masses! Satanic attacks are real. Remember God is Omnipresent and is Our Lord. He knows your problems so prayerfully talk it out with God, respecting His Almighty power. We are God's Children. Ask Mother Mary to help you avoid alcohol and avoid sin and distractions. You may be mixing things up a little bit. Like to say if I wore a bracelet every day, then got cancer, then assume that the bracelet was the cause of the cancer...lol The teachings of God is to save our eternal soul, not a way to magically hit the easy button in life. Good things happen, and bad things happen, but losing our faith over the bad things will cost us eternity. We all have but one little life, and the hardships we face and keep our faith is the trial the Lord gives to us as proof of our faith. It's like initiation, the people who get in are the ones who proved they want to be there. The ones who turned against you, or tried to claim your cause, without any trial, are not worthy.

It's also important to try and attain a state of grace. If you are receiving communion in a state of mortal sin you are compounding the sin. I was stunned when I learned this. It might be a good idea to ask your priest or even just search online to review what is and isn't a mortal sin; it may be that you are routinely doing actions that are taking you out of grace without knowing it. That's how it was with me; If this turns out to be part of the issue, then once you get that straightened out, you can go to confession, then take communion and at that point I would hope you would find your prayers and pennances are more fruitful and efficacious. Peaceful gestures of spiritual protection could be received Well and work, if Satan could be cast out effectively first. Holy salt, holy water and holy St Benedict medals are powerful against Satanic strongholds. Especially pubs, where alcohol degrades those who abuse alcohol and sadly women. Flooding of areas is not accidental. God cleanses areas where sinfulness is rampant. Arrogance and pride are sins that encourage evilness and block good happening. Stay humble.

O "Catholic Lady," Please take out the part of this video that shows a little Black baby shaking her head, "No, no, no, no, no.... to the count of 14! I just gave one of these scapulars to a Black person and told him to search for it on line. This would be the first video he sees! Why did you have to do that! Please take that part out, and also the scene with the man wearing a turban. Also, show the scapular as it is usually used: with a just one wool rectangle and a very small braided loop at the top.
