Starting pay retail pharmacy is the highest, LTC is in the middle, and hospital is the lowest. With years of experience retail stays the same, LTC you do get raises but not as much as hospital. I think the the long run hospital pharmacist get paid the most after 10-15 yrs of experience. This is all generalized of course. There can be specialties and such that can increase your pay. I don't put any specific numbers because its based on where you are geographically located.

Hello, I don't know if you'll see this but I'm confused on what to do. I want to be pharmacist and be able to perscribe. I want to do independent research as well as design medications. What do I do??? What do I even pursue? EDIT: in the future when I'm old I want to have my own research clinic too

Yes. They sometimes do. They also go up on the floors and look for extra apostrophes that get loose and show up in weird places.

Thank you for making these videos. They are very insightful about the field of pharmacy. So base on experience, do you know how clinical/ hospitals pharmacist job prospect will be? Are they just going to become saturated as expected? Say like in 7 years?

So as I understand, you really mean that there are 2 types of pharmacists working in the hospital, one is mostly work at the Pharmacy department and one is more patient consulting? And can you explain a little bit more for me about the computer system that is used to dispense medication in inpatient pharmacy? Thanks a lot!

So are hospital pharmacists more liable since they are writing out prescriptions an have a lot more say than for example a retail pharmacist just filling a prescription that a doctor writes out?

Opioids are usually always present but securely locked away; in the Netherlands law requires it so. I imagine it's the same in the U.S. Whether HGH or various steroids are present in stock depends on the pharmacy itself. Hospital pharmacies will always have those present. They also will have Nolvadex, Arimidex and Clomid in stock ;) As a pharmacist you will in general indeed have easy access to these compounds; you won't be able to abuse them however.

Do pharmacists have access to ALL drugs like is there anything that a pharmacist needs some type of special clearance to handle? Just to name a few do pharmacist have easy access to HGH,steroids, Laudanum, Adderall, and Opana. Are these types of drugs generally always in the pharmacy. I'd really appreciate it if you answered, thanks :) (this is just to satisfy my own curiosity wouldn't risk a pharmacy license to steal drugs)
