I have a lazy eye and it's in one of the worst case scenarios, if any of you reading this have lazy eyes as an adult and are sad because of it, I would say not to worry, you are not alone, be confident and assume no one is judging you, look people in their eyes, it's hard in the beginning if you have grown up avoiding eye contact but at least start trying. If you wish then you can do surgery, perform vision correction exercises by consulting a doctor. It may help correct your vision. I know having a misaligned/ lazy eye is a disadvantage in life, like I have slow reflexes, I can't watch 3D movies, I can't drive motorcycle during rain, but at least I have one good eye to see this world, so guys be very careful and protect your good eye as far as possible and don't stress over having lazy/misaligned eye and let's hope we will soon get it's best solution in the future.

Hello Dr Sharma, My kid(5 years) is diagnosed with this problem. However vision of his both eyes is not improving with glasses/lenses. HIs vission without and with glasses is 6/18. How patching can help to improve or is there any other ways/exercise. Please prepare the video on this topic. Most of the videos on youtube are discussing the cases where one eye is weak. Hlo sir just listen carefully u can treat it very fast in activties in sun light not in the indoor house more lights hit the retina that help to improve vision in lazy eye vey fast... Try it i did it for my child & he treated very early

Hi Mr Veerpal, Please accept our sincere apology for the late response Yes, you can try vision therapy. It's basically some eye exercises done in many eye clinics. There chances of improvements are very less but you can definitely try it.

And the worst part is that government does not recognise amblyopia as a disability and nor they say that you are medically fit. When you have amblyopia you feel like you are seeing everything by your healthy eye only and also feel difficulties in 3d objects like assuming the distance of a subject you want to pick or put. I know because I have this disease. I thought that maybe it is possible by lasik but it can't be treated.

Hi The chances are thin it might be late now but I’d suggest you to see a good doctor, try vision therapy for a while. There is absolutely no harm in trying.

Yes, it's possible to achieve 6/6 vision in right eye too. Patching has to be done sincerely as per advise.

Sir I'm 17 when i got glasses i got 6/9 with glasses in both the eyes and i see Better with left eye than right eye but after one year i revisited this time my vision with glasses 6/9p in right and 6/12p in left i couldn't able to see clear with left eye but i see better with right eye . could u suggest some therapy for working women, m at the age of 25 , during childhood i have gone through patching therapy n used glasses but its not worked as of my childish brain, when i wished to get the idea about this lazy eyes by the time i was 23 n doctors prescribed me lens for my good eye as i have to work infront of system nd refused for surgery n treatment . till now i havnt face any challenges yet but i face eye pain n headache 2 3times in a week , even am not using those prescribed drops . wish i could know the precaution at my childhood. few dr also told me that at late olddays my right eye will stop movement and good eyes will affect more.

Hi, I have amblyopia and facing same problem from my childhood. But i have found a start up "curesee" who claims to treat amblyopia at any age. This therapy is costly, but still I chose it. Will update after 6 months about my eyes.
