Knowledge is power, and not just mere surface knowledge, we are talking about real, deep, and certified knowledge that stems from an unquenchable yearning for absolute freedom and a better quality of life.
Hello, I am Andrew Henderson, the CEO and founder of the Nomad Capitalist and I’ve passionately spent the past 12 years of my life travelling to every corner of the globe and through a series of experimentation, have charted the kind of knowledge you won’t read about in the newspaper or hear on the radio, especially not for free.
I and the Nomad Capitalist team continue to be in the business of helping people go where they are treated best and live life to the fullest without having to bother so much about daunting things like fair taxes, immigration and effective wealth preservation.
In this video, I talk about my personal experience with having multiple passports, the importance of a flexible passport portfolio and my journey so far since renouncing my US citizenship.
Being a citizen of a great nation definitely has its perks and whatnot, however, if you truly desire to become a genuine first-class citizen of the world, you need to know that your citizenship, no matter how great, will only take you so far, but a solid passport portfolio might take you EVERYWHERE.
As a firm believer in diversification, I believe that one travel document shouldn’t be deemed more valuable or superior than the other and as a matter of fact, there really isn’t a passport in the world with exclusive superiority, regardless of all we’ve been made to believe.
A lot of people are stuck with this misplaced belief that their US passports are unshakable gateways to every nook and cranny of the earth, but that really isn’t true, regardless of how dominant and influential the United State is.
A US passport comes with its own geographic limitations, no matter how mild or irrelevant it may seem at the moment.
The world is quickly changing, anything could happen at any time and every bonafide, business-oriented individual can understand that to properly “chase the money” you need absolute geographic freedom. This is where the importance of a strategic passport portfolio shines through, as you will end up needing fewer to no visas to access any country of your choice - which is always a good thing!
Back in December 2017, I made a conscious decision to renounce my US citizenship- one of the most coveted citizenship on the planet! And while to many, it seemed like I was making the biggest mistake of my life, I was actually making a bold and brave effort to find my identity and not just live with a mono identity bestowed on me from birth.
Today, that conscious decision to denounce my US citizenship has sheltered me to places I feel safe in and identify with. It has also curated a unique passport portfolio that makes immigration easier and suits my needs, not just as an entrepreneur but also as a human being in search for undiluted freedom and a sense of belonging.
For more than 12 years now, I and my company, Nomad Capitalist has personally helped thousands of people and businesses relocate offshore, preserve their wealth and achieve an uncapped level of global freedom. We are on a mission to not just inspire people but also assist them in going where they are treated best.

Not to be pedantic, but something *VERY* imporant to keep in mind is that @3:16 does NOT apply to a Dutch dual citizen. If you hold multiple citizenships together with a Dutch passport and you don't renew your passport you will lose your Dutch citizenship, IF you have been living at least 10 years outside the EU. Maybe not a likely scenario for a digital nomad moving around, but certainly many people could have held on to their Dutch citizenship if they only renewed their passports.

I think I would be fun to have Canada 🇨🇦 & uk 🇬🇧 & Australia 🇦🇺 & Ireland 🇮🇪 & New Zealand 🇳🇿 & malta 🇲🇹 just to collect all the English speaking citizenships but it’s extremely time and money 💰 consuming

What would be the benefit though? Those passports have similar visa free travel and benefits... I'd rather have one good Commonwealth passport (Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand), plus a good Latin American passport (visa free access to Russia), and perhaps an EU passport.

Jordan Wentzell 2 two of those passports are eu members the benefit is after you get one of those passports you don’t care about the visa free access because any of those have the most of countries visa free and you can buy Saint Kitts and Nevis 🇰🇳 passport for 150k that allows you to go to Russia 🇷🇺 and it’s tax haven or Grenada 🇬🇩 if you want russia 🇷🇺 and China 🇨🇳 so the benefits is the citizenship not the passport you can live in all of those countries for 2 months each every year and don’t pay taxes. diversity is a benefit they are in a different continent it's benefits they all speak English is benefit it’s fun also

@@kararmay3813 I see, makes sense from that perspective - but you might have trouble not paying tax shuffling between those high-tax countries. You'll have to convince all of them that you're not a tax resident...more complicated than it used to be.

Ive heard that a Canadian passport is a good one to have in terms of travel bc they tend to be easily accepted pretty much everywhere. Do you know if there's any truth to that?
@InstantLuc
@InstantLuc 4 жыл бұрын
It's generally great over all. Upsides are obvious in that Canada has close relationships with the Caribbean Community, E.U, Asian Tigers, Five Eyes, etc. Canadians can spend 3 months in Japan and Malaysia. Canadians also get a whopping 6 months in Korea and the U.K. visa free, so we get generally longer visa-free entry to places. The downsides are tax residency if you live in Canada or have many ties to Canada beyond citizenship, Canada's increasingly hands on approach to foreign policy has left it at odds with the GCC Nations (sans Qatar), China, Russia, Iran, etc. Overall, if you have some reasonable means to acquire it then by all means do so. Purely for travel, I wouldn't spend time on it.

Some countries in the port of entry are asking if you have more than one nationality so if we answer yes we must mention each one by detail... Question? Have multiple passports may be a disadvantage in the border with immigration officers? could see suspect one individual have more than 1 citizenship...

hey, why would I need an EU passport? i cant conduct business in the EU, and even if i did i could do it with the Estonian e-residency program. it doesnt entitle me to live in Switzerland or Monaco. and with travel i would just have to get a visa which i dont think would be denied.
