I cried when Pasta started moving

Just signed up for the virtual Disney marathon for this Summer, I want to run a marathon at WDW next year and thought this was the best way to get started. Thank you for this video.

Hi Sarah! I know you probably have a busy schedule and you’re out being an awesome human being, but just wanted to let you know that you’re missed here on KZfaq!

I’ve done Harry Potter themed virtual races before, and one of them you just logged your distance and time after each leg you did. What was cool about that is they actually used Google Maps to track your run on a REAL route from Aberdeen to Dufftown, Scotland, which runs 52 miles (with a 90 day timeframe). So essentially, with each check-in, you saw how far you’d traveled, as well as a view of where you were.

I signed up for the Marvel Challenge after hearing you talk about how the virtual works in your stories ! I’m really excited they’ll be my first runDisney events ever !

I’ve never been a runner but signed up for the Star Wars Virtual Half Marathon anyway and used it to start getting into running more. It definitely helped that you can break it up b/c there is no way I could run a half marathon all in 1 go. I will be 100% signing up for the marvel challenge and am going to try doing each 5K without breaking it up this time. I'm so excited!!! Which is crazy b/c I've never been excited about running before!

I'm so grateful Disney did this this year because this got me running! I've HATED running my whole life, but when I learned about the virtual half-marathon and saw that medal, that was it - I was finally willing to try! So I finished the Star Wars half and have since done four more virtual half-marathons - all since February! One of my favorite parts is that they all donate part of the registration fee to charity. So I'm getting exercise, I'm helping worthy causes and I get medals! Where's the downside? ;-) Thanks for the vid!

I am actually doing the July virtual marathon and I want my medal. I did the 5k at Castaway cay and I loved it.

I live in Australia and have done the 5km virtual for the last 2 years! I give my mum the package/medals and she awards them to me at the end of the month ☺️ I do a think called parkrun Avery Saturday morning, which is a free timed 5km run ☺️ EASY medals

Super excited to go for the challenge! It's my first runDisney event!

Now that I know the theme of each of this summer's races, I think I might sign up for the challenge as a way to get me ready for my first half marathon at Wine and Dine!

As soon as I found out that this year’s theme for the virtual race was Marvel, I definitely wanted to do this. I can’t afford to do all 5ks but the month I super want to do is Iron Man.

What if you Cycle or spin can you do it that way? Maybe via Peloton?

Hi Sarah!! Hope you're still checking the comments a year later...I had a question: once you complete the virtual run, what happens next? I've gone online and put my time in to get a finisher certificate...then what? Will the medal just automatically show up in the mail? Do I have to do anything to let Disney know that I finished the run? THE ANTICIPATION IS KILLING ME! Haha, Thanks!

I want to be more physically active but i can’t throw myself into running. What do you suggest for beginner activity?

Great Vidio love the look of the marvel ones there doing really interested in doing them but can you do the virtual races in the uk or do you have to live in America to do them and get the medals?

Any thoughts about biking/swimming/hiking the miles instead since it’s self-reported anyway? Running has been discouraged by my doctors in the past due to my wonky knees 😕
