I treated a skin tag myself. I worked in electronics troubleshooting and repair, and I had an aerosol freezer, which could be directed at a component to see if it would change its behaviour. When directed at anything, it would freeze that thing to about minus-30 degrees, so when I had a skin tag under my arm, I froze it with the aerosol. It went white with frost for a couple of minutes (which killed it), then it fell off after a couple of weeks, without leaving a sore. It seemed already healed. HOWEVER - after a couple of years, it had grown back again - so I froze it off again - but again, it only lasted a couple of years - so now, I just tolerate it.

Problem is that skin tag removal is usually considered cosmetic and not covered by insurance. They were going to charge me “starting” $200 per skin tag at my old doctor. I removed them my twisting it, little by litter for about a week, until it’s blood supply was stopped and it fell off on its own. Hurt when it got super tight, but the pain went away after the nerves for it was gone. It was much cheaper than the alternative.

don't rip it out, just tie some dental floss around it tight and wait a few days. it'll shrivel up, start turning black, and then fall off. make sure it remains clean and sterile. by the time it falls off, the skin underneath should have already healed and all you'll have left is a tiny scar this isn't substantially dangerous, there are products you can find in the medicine isle that'll do essentially the same thing except with tiny elastic o rings instead.

Here's an at home tip! If the skin tag is big or loose enought, grab yourself a string of dental floss. Tie it close to the skin around the skin tag (if it's on your arm it helps to have a friend do this) and square knot (double knot) it. Pull it as tight as you can. It'll feel weird for an hour or so, but you'll start to notice something. First, it will turn purple, then brown, then black. Within a week, you would have suffocated the skin tag. The veins and nerves shut down within the skin tag due to a lack of blood flow. Once it turns black, it will either fall off on its own, or easily pop off with a gentle tug with no blood!

They don’t recommend string because it also can cause bacteria growth and in some cases amputation. - cotton string for example can be very deadly. Babies who get hair wrapped around them can have amputations of fingers toes or limbs - adults can get gangrene etc They have plastic skin tag bands that can be stretched a bit then put overtop the area then snap closed on the base of the skin tag because it’s antibacterial/microbial it tends to be a healthier option which has less risk of other issues. Altho it’s still recommended to go to a doctor rather then amazon purchases. As some skin tags may be cancer.

Skin tags are usually caused by poor diet and poor lifestyle choices. They have a connection to metabolic disease. You could research how to get metabolically healthy here on KZfaq. There are milder channels like Dr. Berg, and there are more "extreme" channels like Dr. Ken Berry, or even really extreme like Dr. Anthony Chaffee. Any one of those channels would give you the building blocks that you need to start correcting your metabolic disease...

@speedyllama8380 Also hormone-related, so can be simply caused by pregnancy, perimenopause, etc. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
@speedyllama83803 ай бұрын
@@khutchinsoncpa1 That does not align with what I've learned. A metabolically healthy woman, who exercises and avoids carbohydrates would not have any skin tags or problems like that during pregnancy or menopause. Not to mention, hormone imbalances are a consequence of being metabolically unhealthy... So, it just doesn't follow in my mind that these two can exist at the same time. Maybe some people think they are living healthy, but are misguided.... Skin tags are your sign that you aren't living a healthy lifestyle.

Tip for people that don’t wanna rip it off and don’t want to spend 1000$, tie a knot around it with floss or any other thin string and slowly tighten it over time. The skin tag will die due to lack of blood flow and fall off naturally. I’ve done this three times before so I know it works! depending on how big it is it might take a week or more so I would use a bandaid to cover up the string. (One of mine was on my belly and was naturally covered on my shirt but the other was on my neck, so I covered it up) plus it’ll keep the knot from slipping off.

hair strands is what you should use. It's thin and strong. You're strangulating the tag out of existence. Your method works great! You make one knot to strangle the tag and a second one to secure the first one. Cut off the excess hair and it'll stay secure till it falls off.

I would like to put forward the third option; get some tough, but fine string and make a tiny locking noose knot. Get it around the base of the skin tag as tight as you can, and twice a day make sure it’s still tight as possible. It’ll sting a bit, but if the tag isn’t huge it’ll cut off the blood circulation like a tourniquet and will come off with very little blood in roughly a week.
@MessedUpBrainspike3 ай бұрын

So for those who can't afford this option of having it professionally removed, you can safely remove them by: A) take thread and make a looped knot and slowly pull the end of the thread to tighten around base of tag, very tight. Tie and knot to keep it in place. The thread, when tied tight enough, will choke off blood supply, and within a few days, tag will fall off without leaving open wound. B) Buy wart remover from drug store, the kind that freezes them off is preferred over the salicylic acid wart remover. It may take a few applications. This is NOT the same as the freezing used in doctors office. It's a different chemical and is much weaker. Make sure to aim the wart spray at the base of tag, but to avoid healthy skin as much as you can. Wart removers come with multiple applications. Good for removing 1-6 tags. If you have a lot more tags, it's better to use method A or go to doctor as wart remover can become costly per pack if you need a lot.
