I know this is an old youtube, but one thing lingering in my mind. if we stop co2 from passing through with solenoid, then where the CO2 goes? is it compiled on the bottle, or solenoid does make the excess CO2 out through this solenoid? or if it is compiled on the bottle, then the pressure will be control by safety valve when the pressure reach its max? thank you in advance for answering this, because it is kind of confusing to me

@TheWaterBox
@TheWaterBox 2 жыл бұрын
Not if you go the correct hose with the correct rating. If you use your normal cheap air hose, it won't hold much PSI. If you get co2 hoses, those are usually made with tougher material rated for higher PSI. Then you have to make sure you have good secured fittings.

Hi, Great Video, my Solenoid recently just randomly spoiled, I have been using it for less than a month, the led and electrical circuits still function, as the green led is on. However it no longer locks the Co2, it just let's the Co2 through even though off, it's the same design as the one in the video. I have tried unscrewing everything and cleaning it, I tightened it as hard as I can, even harder than it came before, but is still is not working, and I don't want to buy a new one based on the time I duration I have used it. Any ideas what is the cause or how to fix it? I'm just 13, still have a lot to learn haha. Also, have you ever experienced your DIY Co2 bubbles diffused but then doesn't looked dissolve? My diffuser is directly under the filter outlet, but the bubbles often just gets pushed towards the roots of my Salvinia and just stay there. Last question, why does my DIY CO2 lasts so short? I placed in the citric acid and baking soda in separate bottles, shaked the both bottles, installed the DIY CO2 kit, closed the valve and began squeezing the Citric Acid bottle, I managed to mostly built up pressure around 1.8kg, but by then I didn't have any strength to squeeze it any further and the pressure wasn't building up after waiting two hours, so I tried the method of opening the valve, waiting for citric acid to flow in and immediately closing it, repeating this until the pressure built up to the green zone. My DIY Co2 system came with the white balls, but no magnet, but then when I started the system, it was pumping Co2 into the tank for awhile without issues, but then it started consuming the citric acid at a very fast rate, It was under 1bps. It eventually consumed all the citric acid, with some pressure left, but eventually all the pressure and Co2 will be used up, the baking soda would still be reacting with the Citric acid to create Co2, but it was at a very slow rate which barely produced any CO2, this all happened within a few hours, so I have no idea what am I doing wrong. Or is it the citric acid or baking soda was not reactive enough?(My tank is 5 gallons). I have watching all your videos on Co2 too, but can't seem to understand what's the problem. Don't stop creating videos, as you are one of the few fishtubers that people from around the world who are not living in the USA that can relate to what you are using or pursuing. Much help is needed thank you.

You might need a new solenoid. Sounds broke. Co2 bubble will never diffuse completely with an in-take diffuser. DIY co2 not last long... should last a week or two. If less, check for leaks or your mix is off.

But the co2 selnoide problem is that when you turn it off and after a while on all the pressure will be released and a lot of co2 will be injected at one time and that's a problem how can i avoid that?

@@walidnaceri7288 oh! I thought you were talking about pressurized. Hmmm, I just didn't worry about it and just let it ramp down after it kicks in. Suger/yeast shouldn't be concentrated enough to over dose the tank. Do you notice any pros with the fish?

The Water Box no i don't notice anything and my plants are growing very good the only problem the only thing is that when i turn off the selenoide and i turn it back it release co2 like crazy like 300-400 bubble a second if there is a way i send you a video to check it

The Water Box the solenoid isn’t I guess the right pressure, I found out that the solenoid doesn’t let CO2 out when it’s on low pressure (the CO2) but then the tube pops, it’s the fluval 45 g kit, next time I’ll just go paintball

12v solenoid vs 110v solenoid both are inline co2 solenoids is there a benifit to the 110v over the 12v does the 12v get stuck every once in awhile being a lower voltage?????????
