AAVE is an open-sourced DeFi protocol that allows people to borrow and lend cryptocurrencies! The protocol operates on blockchain networks which means that there are no centralized authorities governing the network.
Essentially this allows users to lend and borrow crypto and other assets without crossing any centralized intermediaries!

AAVE was one of the very first crypto's I invested in. Although it's lost a lot in value and use, mainly through competition, I still think AAVE is one of the more trusted DeFi's out there. Great video explanation!

Unlike clearpool aave, it is a much more dynamic project that lends with unsecured and very easy stages, it has huge funds like sequoia behind it and lends to giants like wintermute. the price of the yet undiscovered coin is 1374 times lower than aave, so clearpool has a potential to increase 1374 times, very soon they may seize the throne of aave.

You dont borrow money with aave. You borrow cypto/tokens. You also dont put money as collateral. You put your other crypto as collateral. You do this when you wanna buy crypto but dont have the cash. But you also dont want to sell ur other crypto so u put them as collateral. They are technically still urs. When the value of the crypto u borrowed using aave goes up then u sell it, pay aave to get ur collateral back and take the profit. Its a double edge sword because when the value of the crypto u borrowed goes down. Ur collateral may get liquidated.
