Hi David, thanks for this short and concise video, I will like to see more videos from you. Could you please advise as a business analyst, are SQL and PowerBI skills compulsory to get a job in the field? I am in the process of changing to business analysis and I have completed an internship but finding it difficult to get an interview. Thank you once again.

Hi Usman, Thank you. In my experience a Business Analyst requires a variety of skills some of which include: Great Communication (e.g. Story Telling format) is probably one of the biggest, then more specialist skills in Design Thinking including Workshop facilitating. Specifically around SQL and Power BI I would say depends on the type of Business Analyst. If your getting into companies that work a lot in data (such as Data Engineering, Data Science) then knowing Power BI helps as you can use that to showcase you data or requirements. I have a bunch of videos planned around Design Thinking, Power BI and Story Telling, I’m working on a improvement to my format of video using more screen sharing and demos. Thank you, David
