Hi Peter, when the fam. Trust distributes the common shares to the beneficiaries (in this case, the children) upon death of the surviving spouse, are those children eligible for the LTCG exemption? Thx.

Really insightful video! If I understood correctly, the last surviving spouse will be the one that will have to pay the 2million$ liability that was locked in(from our example) in the year of his or her death?
