Asthma can be minor or it can interfere with daily activities. In some cases, it may lead to a life-threatening attack.
Asthma may cause difficulty breathing, chest pain, cough and wheezing. The symptoms may sometimes flare up.
Asthma can usually be managed with rescue inhalers to treat symptoms (salbutamol) and controller inhalers that prevent symptoms (steroids). Severe cases may require longer-acting inhalers that keep the airways open (formoterol, salmeterol, tiotropium), as well as inhalant steroids.

This is literally explaining everything I’m going through right now Edit: So it’s been 3 months and I just want to state: The day after I commented this I went to the doctor and it turned out I had a virus that caused my chest joints to lock up and give similar experiences to asthma (I forget the name of the virus). But if you are experiencing any symptoms of asthma try and go to the doctor as soon as possible, it might be something different but it’s better to be safe than sorry!!

@Getting to know Amira can you tell me what the virus was I'm having panic attacks and it feels hard to just breathing air sometimes I get a good whiff of air but others it's really scary like I'm not getting enough air

@@tundra5771 while i dont think it’s possible do completely over come it, it’s is possible to minimise its effect such as: using your blue and brown inhaler, breathing exercises and doing small exercises so you don’t have an attack but doing exercises does help

So I’ve been having shortness of breath, tingly feeling while breathing. No it’s not COVID I literally just got a test and it came back negative. Also coughing at night

My anxiety starts at job and bedroom. I start coughing and my chest becomes tight. Once in while when cough is productive. Breathing is restricted. Yet I dont trust doctors and hospitals anymore since the time they put people in ventilators resulting in instant death.

i end up getting very tight chest congestion on and off throughout the day along with chest pain. and tightness in my back. have to try to breathe in deep to make sure I’m getting enough air. not sure if this is asthma or what. my mom has it

I didn't go to the doctor but sometimes specially when there is smoke I feel weak then shortness of breathe. Is it okay to take salbutamol? Because after I take it I feel relax and I can breathe properly

When I was in middle school, the PE teachers had us run a full cross country course in like november, and it was freezing outside. Everybody has shorts and a t-shirt for the uniform. I got like 1/8 of the way done when I literally couldn't breathe and started coughing. I still haven't gone to the doctor and it's been a while 💀

Can you please respond, So I think I have a mild asthma, everytime I exercise (mostly running) my throat feels like it’s closing up a lot and my I start to cough and get stitches. Is that asthma?

maybe it's ashma cause mostly ashma is from breathing not from the throat but I think u might have ashma

I have no clue if i have asthma but once in a while when im running, when i try to breath in my chest hurts really badly and i have to hold my breath and take i tiny breath in so it wont hurt my chest

Im over age of 50 I was coughing none stop almost a months Then i got scratchy throat My mouth and lips gets dry Some times if I try to make conversation with someone then no words coming out of my mouth, my throats and mouth gets dry and uncomfortable so i sip a water from my flask just to talk really. I moved into my apartment last year and the condition of it is not nice I dont even have a carpet..its smells here ...waiting for a temporary accommodation to move until the flat gets fixed really Ps My dad was an asthmatic

Hell My doctor can't figure out if I have asthma or not. When I did the Spirometry and PFT test he said that I have Asthma. After taking Symbicort for many months along with Montelukast, I did not see any change. Now my doctor isn't sure if its asthma or not.

@@miandanish5544 IT can also be anxiety too not just asthma. Asthma is when you have sounds. Such as whistle sounds when you breathe. Anxiety is mostly psychological. Meaning, Even when you are completely fine, you will still feel unable to breathe. The breathing of anxiety will be typically like you are breathing heavily and you would feel heart fast. So it can be this.

@@miandanish5544 Anxiety is a symptom of depression. But not to worry, depression is common as human beings in our life. The best way to heal from depression is not any medication, but support from family and friends, and most importantly mediation is very important. I wish you good luck in your life, and that you can heal :) stay happy :D

K.P. Buteyko once said that: To test the validity of the scientific discovery made by us almost 30 years ago, it takes 30 seconds of time: offer an asthmatic hyperventilation - he will have a suffocation attack, offer to reduce breathing - will relieve the attack. The cause of the asthma attack is hyperventilation of the lungs, no one said this before our scientific research. And so I have been asking scientists for 30 years to spend 30 seconds to check this (1986). --
