i don't grow a beard so i'm a noob to this... but my son has a ratty beard and wanted to learn more about how to keep it. so, i told him i was going to buy him some beard oil for Christmas and so i started the research and here i am. you sir, seem trustworthy and honest. you didn't fill this video with a bunch of junk, you promoted your product, you didn't slander everyone else's yet still explained why you don't care for their choice in formulas, and your pricing is completely within reason. you have earned a customer. I have beard oil and balm, but I don't use them as often as recommended by the "experts" because I simply don't want an oily or greasy beard. We are all different, and I find that my beard looks better without those products in them on a daily basis.

For the beginners, if I gave some pieces of advice, those would be: 1. make sure your beard is damp; 2. damp your palms also; 3. point 1 and 2 are essential, those are game changers; try it and you’ll see 4. shake the oil bottle thoroughly, in order to help mix all the oils in there together very well; 5. concentrate the oil as much as you can on your fingers; 6. wash your hands after applying the oil.. you don’t want to oil anything, but your beard. 7. After washing your hands, use a brush or a comb for two reasons: to get your beard back in shape and help distribute the oil evenly;

I use the sultan of silver method. 4 drops tops, he uses three and his beard was huge back when he made his oil video. Too many people use WAAAY too much oil.

This brand is quite $$$. Why don’t you guys try a more natural oil such as castor oil ? My boyfriend tried many other oils but he found castor oil works best. This article explains how: sowourplanet.com/castor-oil-beard-growth/ Castor seed is very rich in omega-6 and omega-9 (ricinoleic) fatty acids. So applying castor oil in combination with a diet rich in plant oils (nuts and seeds) will yield the best results. :)

Thank you so much for actually explaining what the oil does, I'm trying to grow a beard and I don't grow facial hair well, after 2 months it'd finally filling in a bit but it's poofing up around my jaw line. Guessing my hair is doing so mainly due to the drying and lack of oils.

This is probably a dumb question but can I use beard oil on the rest of my face? Like as a substitute for a moisturizer? It just doesn't make a lot of sense to me to use 2 different products on my face that do the same thing.

will manley Well, beard oil isn't the cheapest thing and should usually be used only for big beards/mustaches that really need it to stay nice and soft. It's a hair product esentially, so not really for skin moisturizing

I get that beardbrand is a business but you should at least mention that you don't necessarily NEED beard oil. Beards have been around for thousands of years and never required external oil. The face produces all the oil required for a healthy beard. If you use soaps and detergents to remove those oils then yes, you need beard oil. So if you want to save a buck, simply stop using a wash on your beard. You can still remove debris by getting a good scratch in the shower.

You don’t need more drops when your beard is bigger. Yes beard oil is for conditioning the hair but it’s mostly to moisturize the skin.

topping it off with a little beard oil after you blow dry it would be even better! Putting in some beard oil will moisturize the hairs after you expose them to the heat from the blow dryer. -Parker

Hey... question regarding the beard oil. I recently had to shave the beard off due to some work related PPE fit testing. Shortly after the razor shave the skin rapidly started drying out. Can this oil be used post clean shaving for dry skin? Would this product encourage breakout/achne? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Coconut Oil is cool, don't get me wrong, but all of us here have found that coconut oil doesn't have the lasting benefits of true beard oil and can end up smelling really gnarly in your beard by the end of the day. - Jack

Hey Eric, I have uneven distribution of beard on both sides of my face. The right side is thicker and better than the left side. About 9 months into my beard and have enjoyed the journey. As a 51 yo I haven’t dealt with pimples and blemishes is years but now I find that with beard oil and products my checks break out again so after I put product in my beard in clean skin on cheeks and use clear skin products with salicylic acid to prevent blemishes. Could you make a beard oil with salicylic acid already in it to prevent breakouts ???

A little too late but perhaps it depends on the quality of the beard oil, or the amount that you're applying. After all, pimples and stuff are caused by clogged pores.

Was interested in trying out the utility balm not quite sure to pull the trigger on it just yet because I have more of a coarse beard, Does the utility balm softing the more coarse beards as well or just meant for more straight hair
