Hard truth is Ph.D. ke baad postdoc position milna easy hai compare to Industrial job, aur after 5-10 years postdoc, (including Research Associate which is nothing but postdoc with new tittle) without having Nature/PNAS paper and grant (which you cannot write without GC) faculty positions milna near to impossible hai compare to industry me scientist/senior scientist position milna (if you have GC)......yahi asli reason hai after PhD most of the people go for postdoc and after 5-10 years of postdoc, if people don't find a faculty position (mostly don't) they look for industry position. This is even more relevant for people who don't have PhD from USA. Ye mera personal experience hain. Santosh Sir, aap jyada experienced hain... You can explain better.

You are 100% true.. but if you plan ahead there is not need to spend 10 years in postdoc.. and people who PhD are from usa or Europe they have both options equally..

Sir, is it worth doing a Ph.D. and then going for industry jobs? or is it better to do M.S.C and go for industry jobs? If a person is interested in getting a Green Card and wants to live permanently in the USA. Which one is better?

If you want to settle in India for lifetime, its good to start industry job there and gaining more experience. Postdoc only help if planning to join academia.

Good morning sir I am post graduate student from food technology and I am also confused whether I go for phd or join company or I can join company after phd as Starting salary in company is very much less as compare to other branches. I am very confused sir as I belong to middle class family and I can't take risk please help me sir

you can join and succeed both ways.. after MS or after PHD.. you have to put extra efforts to grow in career.. later stage in career, your soft skills like communications, people managements, leadership etc matters a lot.. definitely after phd you will get better positions.

Indian doctors who had done their residency from USA can aaply for EB-2 greencard. But due to EB-2 green card backlog, the current green card waiting time for an Indian doctors is more than 60 years. And also physician doctors are not eligible for EB-1 greencard.
