What is Causing Your Shoulder Pain? Arthritis? How to Tell
Shoulder arthritis is damage to the cartilage inside the shoulder joint. The damage may be done to the cartilage on the ball of the shoulder joint or the socket of the shoulder joint. In this program video, Bob and Brad talk about how to figure out what is causing your shoulder pain. Specifically, they cover how to tell if the pain is being caused by arthritis.

Thank you. I wondered if I had rotator cup injury for few months now and I have been resting the right shoulder/arm. The idea that it might be arthritis came to my mind and your tips offer a lot of good actions to do or not to do. I am 46 very active.

My right collar bone is much larger than my left and I've recently begun waking up with pain & stiffness in that area. I find rubbing in some NSAID cream at bedtime lessens the pain somewhat.

jesus since i first got my laptop in 09' i usually wrap up my nights with being on my stomach on my elbows browsing before sleep (good firm bed though) and now i notice i have crepitus in my left shoulder when doing cable lat pullovers on my total gym or rear delt cable raises (i go fairly light too). had a few shoulder issues a couple years ago but went away but the crunching is still there upon those two rotations. other than that i'm a body mechanics and posture fanatic so i do follow the advice. am athletic but never played strenuous sports and had no past injuries. just worked out and (advanced) stretches. could being propped on stomach (on elbows) in bed cause cartilage thinning over long term?

I have seen two doctors, one is an orthopedic, and still have no diagnosis. I've had this pain going on six years. Now it's interfering with my job. As a nurse and a BLS instructor, I am having a real time. The last cortisone shot didn't do anything at all. The only thing I use is Biofreeze. It's not great having everyone dismiss this pain. It's constant and flairs

I have been having severe pain that runs from the top of the shoulder , out to the arm and down the back fo it. Right down next to the arm pit, on the back side of it, the pain is intense. I get sharp pinching pains. Also I will feel a burning sensation at times. I could be doing nothing at all or working it all day and it still affects my life in a big way. I find that the bone is so sensitive to touch at times as well. I do have Arthritis. I have Fibro. I have bone degenration. Basically a mess on legs. Any help?? I sure could use some advice. I just can't take it much longer.

Unfortunately, these movement restrictions and pain also seem to be consistent with other shoulder issues like rotator cuff tears, impingements, etc. So, it’s hard to know for certain what the problem is.

Doctor i wantet to start pcp therapy for my shoulder with cartilage damage 3 ( not bone on bone) But the doctor tell me for me its not helpfull because i have mechanical problem in my shoulder. They day the head of my bone moves back direction outside of the joint socket , i had an accident 2017 what caused the problem. The head of my arm bone is on the last 10% of the joint socket, thats why they say no pcp injection can fix my problem, What can i do to become the head of the bone back to to mid of the joint socket ? Pls help im only 25 :(

I have a shoulder that cracks, pain and I have loss much of my flexibility. Very painful to screw in a lightbulb overhead as an example. I have hung on a power rack for 3 sets of 1 minute for about 1 year with no benefit ( a lot of cracking). I was told that I should have a shoulder replacement. I am not a fan of replacement after speaking with friends who have had this procedure. The results are about 50/50. I am 70 and I am still trying to work around my injury, very frustration. Any ideas?

Have you considered PRP therapy? It may help. In case you don't know what that is, PRP consists of injecting platelet rich plasma from you own blood into your joints to try and help with the healing process. Since it's your own blood, there are almost no side effects other than pain from where they inject you for about a couple days.

@@seand1011 thank you for your reply I have had this issue for several years. I have received many therapies. ProLo, Ozone, on and on with no return to normal function. I will try your recommendation PRP in the near future. (I should mention that I do flexibility work everyday) thanks again.

I agree with you! With the right Physician and the right medications no disease is incurable. For the past 8years I and my family confined in herbs from NZE NJOKU HERBAL HOME for perfect health. No side effect from this herbs for 8years and I barely fall sick even when I feel sick it's never been more than a day at most. I personally recommend this washing and setting herbs for men who are impotent and can not perform in bed. Men with waist and back pain of any cause. Women with womb and cannot conceive. Joint issues including arthritis. With infections and STDs.
