Have a Blessed Chanukah! As a Muslim American, whose fathers side are of Ukrainian Jewish heritage from the Bronx, Chanukah still holds a special place in my heart. I accepted Al Islam when I was 13 ( 45 now ), and have many beautiful memories of my Grandma and Bonus Mom cooking every year. I still attempt to make a BBQ Brisket , Latkes, and Challah every Chanukah season. Chanukah represents the miracle of the victory of organized resistance to oppression and falsehood and G-Ds power and promise to illuminate the lives and community of the believing people who trust in His Divine process coming true….thats how Covenants are affirmed, qualified for and promised lands are created anywhere on this Earth.

We had a family Hanukkah get together. We asked our grown children to invite one of their best of friend to come celebrate with us this year. It was last night! We had the opportunity to shine the light and share the story of truth with them. We play dreidel, some others group games, have small gifts and just loved on each other during our time together! Beat one yet being able to share with other who don’t practice in their own faith, but were willing to take part especially for all that is going on. May Hashem continue to show us these miracles. b"h - here is my latke recipe, which i learn from my mom of blessed memory. it is easy 4 potatoes 🥔 and 1 onion grated by hand. some ground pepper to make a little haiffr, and 1 egg scrambled poured over the grated mixture. .ix it well, which means by hand and them i fry them in sunflower oil until they are toasty brown
