Advanced packaging methods, such as System-in-Package (SiP) and 3D packaging, enable multiple chips to be integrated into a single package, enhancing performance and reducing the overall footprint of electronic systems.
Furthermore, chip packaging plays a vital role in miniaturization efforts. Through techniques like wafer-level packaging (WLP) and chip-scale packaging (CSP), the size of the chip package can be significantly reduced, enabling the development of compact devices like smartphones, wearables, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices.
