Comparative religion is a dynamic field, which challenges our perceptions of religion, what it is, who is religious, and if religion matters in our so-called 'secular' age. Bringing together perspectives from theology, mythology, global studies, and secular politics, I will give a brief outline to what comparative religion is, and why you should incorporate aspects of it in your study.
Overall, I appreciate comparative religion, yet scholars may face some risks in their research. As always, feedback is highly appreciated and welcome. I look forward to making more educational content about the humanities, as well as putting history, literature, and culture into practice. My channel, Snowy Fictions, aims to do both. Subscribe for frequent videos, and if you'd like, join my monthly mailing list.
Merry Christmas.

For studies of religion, I suggest the general reference guides from DK Publishing. Also, if you'd like to watch more videos about religion, I plan to make more, particularly about Christianity and the West.

This is so interesting. It's been some time since I think videogames, especially those with storytelling, have a spiritual component, imprinted either consciously or unconsciously by their developers.

I plan to conduct more reading on Islam and Zoroastrianism soon, so I absolutely hope for future content on this topic.

This is a personal question that one need not be required to answer, but what is your faith/lack thereof if I may be so bold to ask?

Hey don't worry! I was raised Catholic, left in my teens, and am slowly making my way back to Rome. :)

@@snowyfictions Thanks for that! Might I recommend Eastern Orthodoxy? I won’t go into all the reasons why Orthodox > Catholicism in a KZfaq comment - it would be the longest comment in KZfaq history - but I, like you, had a similar journey. Not that culture matters in the church, Orthodoxy is universal, but I will say that the Russian tradition is my favorite. I’ve noticed in your videos that you also have an affinity for Russian culture, with your imagery and constant references to Russian figures / philosophers (I mean the video that revealed you to me in the first place was the Putin Theology one - very well done btw I must say) I digress, sorry for the long response, but I would encourage you to check out a ROCOR church. I’m sure there is one relatively close to you. Perhaps you already have. Anyway, sorry for the long response. God bless.

Hey, sorry for the late reply! I have considered Orthodoxy, but it's hard to make a commitment when you have so much uncertainity yourself. Thank you for your kind words about my theology video re: Putin. God bless :)

@@snowyfictions Very interesting. Please excuse my chutzpah, but I have to wonder whether or not you've considered making your way to Jerusalem instead. It always strikes me as rather odd just how few Christians, especially those open-minded enough to have left the Church, ever consider Judaism as an option. Not being judgmental, just curious :)
