Hi i have a question: from where you learnt all the basics (data analytics)? thank u in advance

What software do you learn in your first year as a financial analyst?

@@rayhana9259 right now in the Google Data Analytics program Excel, R, Tableau, and SQL are covered. When I worked as a financial analyst, I used Excel daily and Crystal Reports for extracting data and running queries. I also used a few customized data bases where I could build a canned script to pull information like employee salary increases. So most of my learning has been on the job.

@@hrthjfr , Excel and Power Point more than anything. I also produced lengthy reports in Word where many tables, charts, and graphs were included. I also used Crystal Reports to extract data from a mainframe data base.

is it worth becoming an accountant is it tough

@@omarioBOSboy01 it pays the bills and gets you further than others. So in a way yeah.

@@omarioBOSboy01 I'm an accountant as well, for the past 8 years and can definitely agree with @fineth9319. I have been anywhere between a full-cycle accountant all the way up to a financial analyst for corporate companies, and in line with @fineth9319: most people make it seem like it's complicated and like a very serious working environment, from job descriptions to what social media, tv shows and other people assume accountants are, (serious people in front of computers in cubicles, you can hear a pin drop for how quiet it is, etc.), or encounters people have had with some, but it's nothing far than what it really is for the majority in that profession. The jist of it is as simple as: knowing how to add and subtract, making sure reports and data is accurate (being analytical), data entry, manipulating data and other things. Depending on where you live, you can make good money, especially in major cities, like Miami, New York and Los Angeles in the United States.

Apologies for the late reply, but I’ve got some tips that might help you out. - Adjust your speed. By changing how quickly you speak, you will force yourself to think about what you are saying and how you are saying it. This can lead to clearer speech - in grammar, organization, and pronunciation. - Observe speakers and writers you enjoy. You don’t need to copy their style, but by learning what you like, you can develop your own style. - Prepare, but don’t overdo it. Not everything needs a pre-written speech, but bulletpoints on what you need to address can be extremely helpful. - Record yourself and/or get feedback from others. The best way to know how you are doing is to get direct feedback. Recordings are great because you can see exactly what you want to adjust, but bystanders are just as valuable. - Listen and read. The opposites of speaking and writing are important, too. They help you learn what works, what doesn’t, and how to respond appropriately. - Know your strengths. You likely already have default ways of presenting and writing. These can be used to your advantage. Me? I’ve got a deeper voice, a laid-back demeanor, and direct manner of speaking, so I try to come across as knowledgeable, calm, and somewhat humorous/ironic. I know being extremely energetic or the funniest guy in the room won’t work for me, so I don’t do those things. - Be patient. Getting better at any form of communication takes a long time. Still, it can be done. Just practice and don’t be too hard on yourself. - Practice. You won’t get better without it.
