WHAT IS FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS PROGRAM (FSW): Express Entry foreign workers and students in Canada

One of the PATHWAYS IN CANADA for FOREIGN SKILLED WORKERS and INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS especially with work experience is the FEDERAL SKILLED WORKERS PROGRAM (FSW). It is one of the ECONOMIC IMMIGRATION PROGRAMS thru EXPRESS ENTRY.
In this video, I share this pathway for those who aspire to be residents in Canada whether you directly apply for PERMANENT RESIDENCE or using STUDY PERMIT PATHWAY. I made a video about EXPRESS ENTRY SYSTEM: • WHAT IS STEP BY STEP P... and I suggest watching this first to understand how it works.
With the FSW Program, I mentioned all about the factors to be eligible to this program like:

Thank you very much for your efforts.. Can you answer pls ? I have over 6 years work experience , however last 4 of them I am as self employed person, have clients pay the taxes. I can get reference letter from government organisation, I heard that self employed person is not considered under the fsw as a work experience, is it true ? Thank you in advance..)

Hey Jayson, Quick question. Can we get points for Adaptability even if our partners aren’t coming with us? (since it indicate "you and your spouse ..") Ex: I have worked in Canada for one year. So can I get the 10 points under “Your past work in Canada” even if I immigrate alone?

Hi Jayson, Thank you for the video. My question still remains- Can an international student completing a degree in Canada apply for FSW, considering they have foreign work experience? Thanks for the comment. After studying, apply for PGWP. Regarding EE thru FSW, I have video about that. Most international students apply for EE thru CEC. There are a lot of factors, eligibilities and requirements. You must comply all of those. But the good thing here in Canada is that your PR pathway is not just thru EE but also thru immigration pilot programs and PNPs. I suggest, knowing those programs thru research will give you more knowledge and options for your PR pathway.

Hi Jayson, I have a 1 year continuous Canadian work experience under Noc B ( from feb 2014 to march 2015). I wont be eligible for CEC since that work experience is beyond the 3 years requirement. I wanted to know if I can use that experience for FSW. I do not have any foreign experience. I am having a confusion since my thinking is only foreign work experience counts under FSW. I would be grateful if you can clear the confusion that I have. Thank you.

Thanks for watching and for the comment. As per IRCC website, for Selection Factor specifically for Work Experience, it will count if your work experience is in Canada or abroad.

If WES only gave me 2 years equivalency for my Bachelors degree in the Philippines then I did 1 year grad certificate in Canada, how many points will I get if I apply for EE? Will it be 19 or 21? Thanks for watching and for the comment. The 67 points is for the eligibility requirements. Then the next is you will be in the EE pool and wait to draw your CRS score.

Is it mandatory to have a job offer from Canada in FSW program even if you have achieved CLB of 70+ or if you have a good CRS score?

As per IRCC: You can get points if you have a job offer of at least 1 year from a Canadian employer. Thanks for watching and for the comment. As per checking in IRCC websites (www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html) it is NOC C. FSW must be at least NOC B.
