In Singapore, my fav is " Do it for the plot." Not sure if its commonly used all over. Its Gen z slang cos those are not actual words. I love this content.

Very interesting vocabulary Professor, its the way the language wanes or waxes...(Does this add too? ) For a generation that is more Social media oriented, its bound to happen. Fyip, asap, are in use for a long time. But, using a perfect word in a different contexual meaning is very new to me. For that matter, even the word Gen-z is new addition to my vocabulary. Totally agree..I experience this everyday. Both my children are Gen -Z kids. Their language is interesting, I observe them quitely while they talk. As I can't understand, speaking English at home is restricted 😅.
