@@mikehillproject Marchand is a classic all era Bruin! If every NHL team had a Marchand on their roster each team would benefit. As a 15 season Bruin Marchand has forgotten more about Hockey than most of today’s players will ever know…#63 HOF next stop.

Yeah Marchand is dirty and that was a bad hit. But what did the Core ro about it? Forget Ryan Reaves or Domi or Bertuzzi. The leaders on the team, the highest-paid and the ones that wear letters on their jerseys. They did NOTHING!!! And this is why this team will not go anywhere. Where's that emotion that was shown when Greig slapshotted an empty-netter? Why did that warrant a response, but not when Marchand knocks Knies out of the game? Matthews may score 70 and Nylander will get his 100 points, but they are nowhere close to the Bruins or the Panthers. Both of those teams know that they can take liberties with the Leafs, and the star players will do nothing.

Actually I really likes Sids candid performance, Marchand is easy prey but if you look closely and not through a leafs helmet you will see Marchand is turning to go up ice Knies is coming straight and him and both collide. Nothing to see here.

Thank you for showing this clip. I commend you. The NHL, Sportsnet, NESN all seem to avoid showing this clip. You are the only ones to show that clip of Marchand. Why are they trying to hide this? "What is going on"?

When a recently retired player openly said that he liked a certain player he played with and thought he was better than given credit for and asked you that was on was it the coach he openly said yes ! He outta know because he played on the same team played over a thousand games. To me that said a lot and confirmed what has been suggested 🤔

If Marchand were traded to the Leafs today, Leaf Nation would be ecstatic. Marchand is dirty, motivated, and is an amazing hockey player. Every team in the NHL wants him on their team. He's a winner.

The common denominator for Leaf disappointments is the Core 4. At least they get the Leafs in as a top 25% regular season team. Leaf fans and followers do see - they limit the Leafs to a bottom 50% playoff team consistently. So why do Leafs Executives over pay them all at $11 Million? 😀 Funny & interesting.

I look forward to a break-up, come the off-season, of the AM34-Marner-Nylander-Rielly-Tavares quintet should a conference final not at a minimum be the end of this Leaf season. Should the Leafs fail to qualify for a 2024 conference final, I hope whoever is in charge of appointing presidents of the club needs to fire Brendan Shanahan because that season will be the end of Shanny’s 10th as a club President and with limited playoff success. 2 straight losses by a country mile to the Bruins should give plenty of evidence to the Board of MLSE that enough is enough with Shanny provided, again, the Leafs fall short of a 2024 conference final.

@@wainber1 I guess if the Leafs just win 2 second round playoff games - that is the minimum for the Leafs to show improvement. I figure winning two second round games might be basically impossible for these Leafs after - seeing their two loses this week to the Bruins.😀

@@jimlangdon1947 Maybe it'll come down to, should the Leafs not make it to a 2024 conference final, Treliving telling the MLSE Board that it'll either be him or Shanny gone. Just imagine of that Board has to choose between letting a GM who by then will have completed just his 1st season as GM and a President who by then will have limited playoff success. Breaking up the core-5 can't be off the table should the Leafs not make it to a 2024 CF although should Shanny once again dig in, hopefully HE will be FIRED.

That interference if it wasn't then contact to the head. The referees missed and some bad calls recently. Knies gets 2 minutes for being in the wrong place ! But the Bruins only play 4 minutes 1 man short !

I'm sorry but star players should not be fighting. First of all it just isn't them its not in their nature you can tell. They are not a Reeves/Bertuzzi type of players. They are valuable ,especially Matthews and Marner if anything they need to be protected at all times. There are plenty of other fighters on team.

So the core 4 doesn't fight, they need to be protected at all times, they don't finish checks, they take nights off or start late, and they disappear in the playoffs. What are they getting paid 11M+ for? Highlight reels in the regular season?

@@B.JewelsWhen half your cap is going to 4 players, they can't be completely 1 dimensional. Crazy how guys like Pastrnak, MacKinnon, Makar, Tkachuck etc work harder in the playoffs, take over games and still don't need to be protected by the rest of the team. Until this changes they will continue to get eaten alive by teams like Florida and Boston. If it's "just not in them" then you should be making a case for a trade because you can't have 4 soft skill players making over 11M/year if you want any kind of playoff success.

Marchand is the MOST suspended player of all time, so its not like he gets away with everything. I cant stand him but that's his whole deal. He's a sneaky rat. It wont matter cuz the Leafs wont go far this post-season. Treliving replaced Dubas, and all he has done is moved the deck chairs around on the Titanic. It's basically the same scenario as last season, only the names of the surrounding cast have changed.

BOTH games that we played against Boston were nights where we were playing our 2nd game in 2 nights while Boston was fully rested. Its not a big deal. Edmundson is a great pickup.

I am a leaf's fan, and if I was to put faith in this team getting passed Boston I would be letting reality go. Last year and this year vs Boston the Leafs have lost almost every game👍 you can make all the excuses but this team after 7 year's is no better.

This league needs to change when Rielly gets 5 games and Marchand does NOT even get a penalty , really , the league does NOTHING? I am starting to hate the NHL and I have been a fan for over 40 years this is getting to be a sad joke how un even the refs are . Do the refs bet on games or get side money from teams to look the other way? I can not explain why the refs anf the league just turn a blind eye on certain teams other then corruption!

I hate the Bruins. I can't stand Marchand. But he is a legitimate hockey player. Leafs players, fans and Toronto-centric media types can cry about Marchand all they want...it doesn't take away the fact that he is a gritty, uber-talented HOCKEY PLAYER...something that the Leafs organization hasn't seen since the years of Clark and Gilmour. Stop crying and hold your team accountable for their soft, sensitive, cotton-candy and bubblegum style of play. "Oh, he's so dirty...he hit our guy! Aaaaah!". Either grow a pair or maybe the Leafs should join the PWHL...but that wouldn't go well either as those ladies are tough as nails!

People get angry at him and I get it....But you can't deny the guy is one of the bet wings in the NHL over the past decade. You would all love him on your team. Your comment was very well put. Too bad most of the Leafs fans live with blindfolds over there eyes and drink the kool aid. The leafs are not tough to play against. They are soft and could care less about winning. Matthews is going to leave because he hates it there. You will be in a rebuild before a cup parade trust me....
