If u not trust me-connect to multimeter led diode put some light and find answer. Your Principle is correct but the Application is not A photodiode is used in Reverse Bias and when a photon incidents it, it creates electrons in depletion region increasing the leakage current A Solar Cell is used with no bias, when a photon equivalent to energy gap band of cell incidents it an electron is excited to conduction band A Light emitting diode is used in Forward Bias, when current passes through it, electrons from conduction band jumps into Balance band to recombine with holes and it emits a photon with energy equivalent to Energy gap band The proper word here would be a PN Junction not a Diode as PN Junctions are manufactured for different Application and used in different configurations that makes them either a Diode or a photo diode, a Solar Cell or a BJT Transistor Also Diodes don't necessarily has to be A PN Junction, there are unipolar Diodes like Schottky diode where PN Junction is absent to begin with

I had the same idea, but it would be a near-field communication device tied to your biometrics. The form factor could be incredibly thin, and the NFC emitters could be hidden through the lining of your clothing and down the fingertips. Cyberpunk af.

You will still need a lot of space for the motherboard, ram, cpu, battery etc and I am not sure about having it exposed. The glass in your phone is there for a reason is not just to get broke and repaired 🤣

That's why i dont buy oled smartphones anymore... Just a drop and ... Say goodbye 🫂... Lcd's maybe dont have the colors or brightness level of oleds but are tough and never get damaget if dropt. (My experience)

The "flex" has it's limits. The screen get's broken' cuzz it get's punctured on a small point where the screen cracks. Overall Oled is more robust than LCD but is also inclined to more deffectives like colored lines, black round spots, green flickerin, burn in etc. Also a phone with lcd is cost efficient so you can repair it with low costs where phones with Oled are very high in repair costs and are not worth to repair.
