Actually getting the colonoscopy tmr! Finishing prep, and looked here for any info or help, and saw this. GI already prepped me with a chronic illness specialist, and I have been told I have Crohn’s by 2 rheumatologists, this is just the confirmation. My gut is fine, but my stomach has demolished my health. I feel excruciating pain and nausea, that slowly goes down my body, and in intensity. My throat has closed up slightly from GERD and gastritis and from that I have lost the ability to vomit. Conversely, I am severely constipated, and life kinda sucks. I have rheumatoid arthritis, and respond well to Humira, so I have high hopes. At 20 my life has kinda been turned upside, but this has been nice, thanks :)

Tejbz, Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful video. I have nothing but respect and admiration for you and your story. I was also diagnosed with Crohns Disease when I was 14 years old. I am now 26 years old and I still get emotional/teary eyed when talking about my journey with Crohn’s. Not because I am weak or ashamed, but because I am reminded of all the unfortunate obstacles I’ve had to overcome. Not only that, the people around me who were also affected by my disease. It is sometimes difficult to accept that this is my reality. Some days are better than others. So, you make the most of those good days and you fight back on the not so good days. When it’s bad, it’s bad. But when it’s good, boy is it really good. This chronic illness has humbled me, and I’d like to think it has made me a better person. I wish I would have come across this video back then when I was just diagnosed. I’m sure it would have helped, tremendously. Even with Crohn’s disease, I’ve managed to experience wonderful memories and will continue pursuing a life that is happy & fulfilling. Living with Crohn’s disease is difficult, but not impossible. Hey man, I used to watch your MW2 vids all the time back in the day, your story hits home to me as I've had crohns since i was 16 and im 27 now. Had 6 inches of my ileum removed when i was 24 and had complications after the surgery and had to have an emergency resection after that due to bleeding in the stomach. I stayed in the hospital for 3 weeks with an NG tube in my nose going down to my stomach to suck all the fluids up and was being fed through a tube going through my arm into my chest. i weighed 104 at my lowest. I couldn't eat or drink for 3 weeks straight, every day was the hardest day of my life as the doctors didn't understand why my stomach wasn't working. I passed kidney stones in the middle of that hospital stay too and having that pain on top of the pain from the surgery is not fun. I haven't been able to work for the last three years and have been legally disabled. I started taking the biologic called Stelara in March and am just starting to feel some relief after 7 months of taking it. I've had 3 surgeries for pilonidal abscesses/cysts on my tailbone as well, and i heard crohns gives you a higher chance of getting them. My kidneys have an abnormal build up of calcium and i've had multiple procedures for kidney stones. Crohns gives you a higher chance to get those too. It really is an awful disease and I really appreciate you sharing your story. The times I've broken down in tears in my room alone is too many to count, but still have my whole life ahead of me, so there's reason for hope. You'll be in my prayers every day man, take care!

Tejbz I've been watching you since late 2009/early 2010, it's still crazy that you'll never understand how much you've shaped some of our teenage years, specifically mine. I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease back in 2015 and I'm thankful that I started to have issues in my 3rd year in University rather than earlier. The nature of this disease is very isolating and having someone be so open about their experiences is extremely helpful for people that were diagnosed recently. I've been a fan of yours since your MW2 videos, and when I learned about your experiences from your first video it brought my respect for you to another level. Reading some of the other comments has been pretty interesting comparing some of the things I've had the pleasure of experiencing. I am happy to say that after a couple hospital visits and a few medication switches, I've been doing really well (on Stelara for anyone who wants to know) To anyone reading this who has been recently diagnosed with IBD and looking for support, know that it gets better. With all things, this disease especially, it will take time for you to adjust and figure things out. It may suck a lot right now, but know there are people who have made it through the worst of it and are there to talk. To you tejbz, I want to sincerely thank you for opening up and sharing your experiences. You're going to help more people than you know.

I got Diagnosed with Crohns about two years ago now, such an awful disease, i remembered a video proabably about 5-6 or more years ago where you said you had Crohns. You're the only person i knew other than my Auntie that had it and it definately helped me knowing you also had the disease and was still making youtube videos and living life. Thanks for sharing your story man, I'm 28 now, I've had Ulcerative Colitis since almost 3 years ago now. It's rough at first, but you learn to live with it and what you can do to manage it. I'm almost certain for me drinking caused the worst flare of my live in early 2020, I've given it up almost entirely since then. I came within a few hours of having my entire colon removed, drinking is just not worth it for me. I'm on humira now too.

I’m 29 years old. I have lived with Crohn’s for over 15 years. It took health service in the UK 2 years to finally diagnose me when they eventually did. I used to think I had it bad. But, 15+ years later, I’ve managed to avoid any surgery, even when I probably should have gone for it. Thank you for this honest and open video. I won’t lie, I did get pretty emotional throughout it. But it’s great to see someone so open and positive about the disease. Thank you.

Great and inspiring video, I’m 22 and was diagnosed when I was 16, for the past 4 years im struggling with butt absceses, I already had 14 surgeries because of that and next month it is supposed to be last one, after 4 horrible years of pain and body waste pouring out of my .. It is terrible disease but managable, it also helps you to appreciate and value things more and be more kind and thoughtful person, at least happened for me :) Anyone with IBD or any else non IBD related illness, keep fighting, stay positive, things will surely get better !!!

Tobias/Tejbz you're so brave to share all of this story, honestly, it's gotta be really hard and like you said 8 months in the process, I'm really glad you've posted it here today. I always feel like no-one really understands what I've been through, I even remember watching the video you talked about Crohn's in 2014 when it came out, not knowing I'd get diagnosed with Crohn's a few years later in 2017, I've since gone back and watched that video here and there because it's good to hear someone's perspective that understands. I even asked on your stream questions about Humira to you, I think it'd be very early 2018 when I was on it, and yeah you just willingly and openly answered the 2 or so questions I had there and then. Yeah I just feel like I can relate on certain things and almost forget how bad it truly was, maybe as a coping mechanism, but just happy to be alive. I've been to a talk before with others that have it and everyone there was very old, and I'm 23, I always feel like I'm the outlier in the hospital for my age, even though most are diagnosed ages like 12-35, most there at the talk were 50+. It's an inspiration to see someone that I've grown up watching and listening to for more than 10 years with that same inspiring passion and enthusiasm through all that time. I know you don't know me but I do look up to you as like a wiser, older sibling. The shape of your body too and the person you've become, physically and mentally strong in both ways, again, an inspiration. I don't know how you did it, I still struggle with trying to put on weight myself, it is hard, and friends don't understand, but it's amazing to see someone cope with it so well after all you've been through. I'm not saying you're some transcendent fantasy superman of the world made of the perfection that you must portray, but to me you are an amazing human being, one of the best I know and I like how down to earth you are as a person, that's what I've always loved about you and stuck with you, keep being you, and people will admire you and your story. I'd share my story with Crohn's too but I think it'd look like an essay so, and wouldn't wanna make it about me. I'm glad you're able to talk about it, and put it out there for someone like me who's needed to hear it. I'm sorry for all that you've gone through, I'm glad you're able to find happiness in your days still after being through all what you said and more. Keep doing what you're doing and being who you are. :) Also biiig sidenote, if you haven't seen it. I'd recommend the show The Last Kingdom, it's very highly rated, it's about Vikings invading England 9th century and the character Alfred in the show has Crohn's and that get's portrayed very well and that's an inspiring story too, I know it's a big sidenote haha but yeah highly recommend you watch it if you find the time. Thanks for this video, it means a lot to me, and it's nice to see someone being real, it didn't have to be "perfect", this is authentic and amazing in my eyes. I'm sure I'll come back to this video many more times too. I have a very close friend of mine that got diagnosed with crohns desease and I can say that it was hard for me to watch and not have anything in my power to make her better. However what YOU had to go through, we can not even begin to imagine. Openning up like this and showing every guy out there that it's okay to show feelings and tell your family and friends that something is wrong with your body can be the difference between a diagnose and a much sadder and worst outcome. First time I'd heard anything other than the name of the disease was one of your videos, probably from mw2, where you mentioned you have it. It was many years ago! While I don't have crohns, when I was 22 I noticed blood when I went to the toilet. I panicked and just hoped it would get better. Over the next 6 or 7 months I got more and more symptoms, I felt worse and worse, all while pretending everything was fine. Put myself through agony at work every day, sneaking off to the toilet hoping nobody would notice I was gone all the time, a combination of being shit scared and bloody embarrassed... Something was wrong and it was coming out of my butt, just the worst thing I could imagine! I finally grew a pair and asked for help. I went to the doctor. While waiting to find out what was wrong with me I told just 1 person. And my step mum found a letter from the hospital. I let her tell my dad, so 3 people knew something was wrong in the whole world. While waiting for a diagnosis after having camera test (no painkillers or anything - they didn't search far initially thankfully) I had a family reunion and found out my cousin and grandad both suffered with something called ulcerative colitis. Coincidentally, I only found out about this disease a couple weeks earlier because a friend of a friend had it. Still, I pretended I had never heard of it, but realised the obvious. A couple weeks later I received the diagnosis, that of course I had ulcerative colitis too. All of a sudden I felt like that validated the disease and all the embarrassment went away immediately. I was no longer ashamed, and not particularly scared. I was happy telling people what I'd been going through. Ups and downs along the way, and luckily I haven't been anywhere near as affected as you have, no stoma for instance, but I remember thinking if I did have one, my life would be ruined. I once took a turn for the worse and it got to the point where I actually wanted a stoma, if that could make me feel better. These days I'm generally fine, I take my tablets and live a normal life, and I eat what I want. Sometimes I know it will affect me but I can control the disease and just weigh up the pros and cons and make a decision that I'm happy with. It doesn't control me like it did when I kept it to myself, so if anyone else is scared or embarrassed like I was, just ask for help. It makes a world of difference. A year or so ago, you did a charity stream that was to raise money for a crohns charity, and at my request, you broadened that to raise money for colitis as well, so once again... Thanks. Watched every second of the video, and I hope it can help someone X

Whoa cool to see Tejbz! I've made some video's on having crohns too, the abscesses had to be the worst part for me at least. Being on Remicade made things a lot easier then I got moved to Inflectra which is like the same thing

I have chronic faucet syndrome, it’s not all the time, but my back hurts so much I cant do anything when it flares. It’s not really something anyone understands (besides my mom) since it’s only sometimes, so it can be hard to explain why i have to go home/cancel plans. It’s not nearly as bad as crohns, but chronic pain sucks man.. Ive been following you for a Long Long time, and I remember your first video about Crohns. It had such a big impact on me, and remember crying when you did in the video. Thank you for sharing, as much as it sucks, it’s nice to have someone who knows your struggles. Ps. i know it’s not a competition to be most ill, but I really dont mean to imply I know even Half the struggle youve sent through.

Hey Tejbz, its Manny from the sub games on the weekend, had a ton of fun playing cod, been a fan since Machinima days. To speak on experience, I actually had to rush my wife to the hospital once for a colon infection (diverticulitis), and I don't remember her ever being in so much pain. I've watched her give birth to our 2 children and yet I have never seen her in as much pain as she was in during that visit, they had to force tubes down her nose and clear her stomach, I've never been more worried in my life. Before it happened, I never even heard of situations like this but come to find out that it happens to a lot of people. Anyways, stay healthy Tejbz, keep the content up, wishing you all the best.

For the past year I’ve been having stomach ache, nausea and I always feel like I need to shit. The doctors here have done blood tests and scans but they can’t figure it out. I wonder if this is what I have..

I have crohns to had since i was 15 im now 40 had 5 surgeries had a stoma still struggling with crohns because mu biological isnt working enough anymore , i have always had good and bad periods , but now that im getting older i still feel like 60/65 years is old enough for me cant see myself being 70 and having extra problems from being old and crohns , sometimes is see older people with crohns and think hopefully this will not be me , u just get tired from going to the hospital so many times just to stay alive.

Hi Tejbz - just thought I would mention as a doctor, there's good reason we don't always put people to sleep for things like colonoscopies. They do carry risks and can be dangerous; and although they are rare, these risks are much greater in people with older age or other health problems. We always try to do the best thing for our patients - if we can keep someone comfortable on just nitrous and IV pain relief then that's safer than a general anaesthetic and lets people recover much quicker, plus it usually works well. Really interesting to hear your story though, wishing you all the best.

Know your your struggles, I have ulcerative colitis, so far I have had a full bowel removal and a anal stump removal and left with a colostomy bag now for life. It’s still a daily struggle but at least I’m not bleeding from my rear anymore
