Life under Hamas is a strange mix of overt security and no security. The streets are safe and prisons bursting at the seams but a man and a women cannot go to a restaurant together unless they are related or married. "You can be sitting in a restaurant when Hamas comes and starts asking boys and girls about their relationships". Since coming to power in 2006 Hamas has clamped down on sexual politics & crime. Drug dealers can be hung and women sent to prison for having a child out of wedlock. A drug epidemic is an unforeseen result of the tunnels under the border between Gaza and Egypt. And there is little political freedom. Hamas is accused of unfairly targeting Fatah supporters, who are kept strictly in line. "I will keep fighting them until the last seconds of my life", says one female activist.

I'm still stuck on the fact that Tramadol is considered a drug over there. How is that possible? It's basically the only prescription pain medication allowed in jail and prison because it's not a narcotic. Anything with codeine or Vicodin is actually steps above Tramadol. They might as well be doing recreational ibuprofen. That is so odd

Here is one of the cases why women were serving jail term in Gaza under Hamas Rule. She was put in jail because she helped her son escape to Israel which is illegal. And, she seemed glad about it as any mothers would be knowing her son would be in a better future.

we as Americans have no right to judge someone who lives In different situations as we have. as An American our country has more and should be thankful and greatful for it however they never are greatful they can walk down the street and not worry every day if they may live through the day . its so I do judge my own country for its shortsightedness and crazy attitudes. all i can say when Israel was in Gaza, the Palestine's had companies with the Israeli a way better economy and everything better now when Israel left Gaza the Palestine's suffer and the whole world does not see this or dont want to see this problem. i live in the west bank with Palestine's and we get along fine most of the time lol they even drive new mustangs,BMW and lots of Mercedes so just proves with Israel and Palestine's live to gather they have away better life!!! The main problems is like the leader of Hamas with his dam Ego. just for some history even Jordan had a war with the Palestine's and kicked them out, then they left to Lebanon and even the Palestine's most of them we kicked out of Beirut because they were fighting and destroying the country check it out

hominyboy The only people they use suicide bombs against is the IDF. Any other missions in which 'civilians' are killed nearly always turn out to be armed illegal settlers who shouldn't be there in the first place(and are obviously enlisted in the IDF) or IDF conscripts.
