What I love about Mexican music is that you can see a 60 year old couple dancing next to a 18 year old couple . Same music. Our music spreads from all over the ages

I'm a white guy who grew up in SoCal, moved to Oklahoma, and knows very little Spanish. However! I'm a musician and have always loved Mariachi music. I really enjoyed this video! My family/friends think I'm crazy when I'm listening to this music because I don't know what they are singing about and I can't repeat what they sing; I just enjoy the art. Thanks for the video!

My paternal family are Jalisciense and my maternal family are Oaxacan. I recall when my Oaxacan grandfather use to talk about his adventure to U.S. as a Bracero. He would cross the border legally by border towns in Texas and Arizona, he would hear the old time Nortena music. This got him enthusiasm for polka music. I see myself as a Chicano, I am into Nortena and Mariachi through my family.

@22alexraider you're ignorant! Do your research first then talk. Sergio Sendel Mexican actor is one of many Mexicans with German in them. Germans made it from Mexico all the way to Argentina and Chile! There are many Mexicans with German last names. We my famiglia also have German in us and french. Ignoramus, before you speak, know facts! Sergio Sendel is from Mexico City. None of his family was Americans!!!!!! Germans also made it to Canada too! Justin beiber is part german!

The power of music. Its absolutely fucking mystical. 😁🙏❤️ Working as a ground courier for DHL in Phoenix I have a lot of time to listen to music. More often than not I'm listening to Mexican radio. So vibrant and colorful, and 90% of thr time I have no idea what's being sung but it puts me in such a happy place. Probably because I'm 100% Polish and I grew up going to Polish festivals and weddings with live Polka bands, this musica me hace feliz! And let's me revel in my childhood. Thanks for this video!

Unless you grew up in the Guamúchil- Angostura region of Sinaloa or southern Sonora , this music is relatively new to the rest of Mexico and southwestern United States. Taking off I would say with Jesus Ojeda back in 2011 because after him even other groups took off as he pioneered the genre. Not even Miguel y Miguel impacted this genre as he did though Mígueles were before him . After so many soloist and other similar groups started incorporating this style to their music.

Well, it's important to note that it's not an actual genre, it's just a term that bundles up all Mexican genres if one is too lazy to specify and wants to talk about music in Mexico in general. It can be a problem to foreigners though, cause they might not understand that and think that it's all one genre.
