In this lesson, we will discuss the difference between mass and weight and how these terms relate to physics. In physics, mass refers to the amount of atoms and types of atoms inside the object. Weight is the force of gravity on the object. So, on Earth, an object has mass and weight, but if the object is taken to deep space it will have no weight but still have mass. Mass relates to how much inertia a body has - how hard it is to accelerate an object. Mass has nothing to do with gravitational force.

Does anything affect the gravitational field other than size? You said the moon was 1/6th the size of the earth so the gravity was 1/6th that of earth but since the earth is spinning I was wondering if the speed an object is turning might also affect the gravity or does a rock like a large asteroid also have some gravity?

W= mg If body is at rest then there will no change in velocity and hence acceleration will be zero i.e g= 0 so W= 0 If its wrong then why weight is zero in deep space?

I think weight is well understood by the Archimedes principal. Does balance measures mass or weight? I think mass because both the pans of balance are equally acted upon by gravity.

Jason has already got a presentation on the 'Maxwell' equations. He examines the four equations in comon use, however, I pointed out that the four commonly used equations are not the Maxwell equations in the true sense. Oliver Heaviside reconciled the 20 Maxwell equations using methods invented by himself [Heaviside] in order to reconcile Maxwells 20 equations into the four commonly used equations which are in reality the Heaviside-Maxwell equations. Heaviside also invented the H-Step function (the Heaviside Step Function) and also the Telegraph Equations. Jason acknowledged that this is information he was not previously aware of. Check out Oliver Heaviside (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oliver_Heaviside) who was self-taught, teacing himself calculus in order to understand Maxwell's equations and then inventing Vector Calculus to progress. Heaviside is a truly fascinating individual.

@@DavidRobinson-rj2sp Gravity is an INTERACTION that cannot be shielded (or blocked) ON BALANCE. TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY (AND NECESSARILY) proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE) !!! Consider TIME AND time dilation ON BALANCE. Consider what is E=MC2, AS c squared CLEARLY represents a dimension of SPACE ON BALANCE. Accordingly, ON BALANCE, the rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches the revolution. Consider what is THE EYE !!! Notice what is the TRANSLUCENT AND BLUE sky ON BALANCE !!! (Think about what is water !!) Notice what is the orange (AND setting) Sun. Think about what is lava. Lava IS orange, AND it is even blood red !!! Consider, ON BALANCE, what is BALANCED BODILY/VISUAL EXPERIENCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY (AND NECESSARILY) proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE). Again, consider what is THE EYE ON BALANCE; AND consider WHAT IS E=MC2 !!! The rotation of WHAT IS THE MOON matches the revolution. NOW, consider WHAT IS E=MC2 in conjunction WITH what is the BALANCED MIDDLE DISTANCE in/of/AS SPACE; AS TIME is NECESSARILY possible/potential AND actual ON/IN BALANCE; AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY (AND NECESSARILY) proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE). Indeed, ON BALANCE, consider what is the fully illuminated AND setting/WHITE MOON. CLEARLY, WHAT IS E=MC2 is dimensionally consistent (ON BALANCE). c squared CLEARLY represents a dimension of SPACE ON BALANCE, AS ELECTROMAGNETISM/energy is CLEARLY AND NECESSARILY proven to be gravity (ON/IN BALANCE). CLEARLY, it is all correct and proven ON BALANCE. The stars AND PLANETS are POINTS in the night sky ON BALANCE. Again, consider TIME AND time dilation ON BALANCE. The INTEGRATED EXTENSIVENESS of THOUGHT AND description is improved in the truly superior mind. Indeed, BALANCE AND completeness go hand in hand. Great. By Frank Martin DiMeglio

Very likely that time is not a dimension as Einstein mentioned in GR…
@aminomar7890
@aminomar7890 Жыл бұрын
Very likely the interpretation of equivalence principle is incorrect: objects fall at the same rate because as soon as the objects enter the gravitational field the field interacts with each particle independently regardless its location to others in the same object. It’s a property in particle,…. still a lot of work to do, Einstein didn’t scratch the surface regarding space and gravity,….. I think that his best achievement is connecting gravity to space,….. time…….
