Mental Health at Work

Mental Health at Work

8 жыл бұрын

One in four adults experiences at least one diagnosable mental health problem in any given year. 9 out of 10 people who experience mental health problems say that they face stigma and discrimination as a result. Poor mental health in the workplace costs the UK an estimated £26billion a year.
Recognising stress and mental health problems is not easy. Employees may take time off for odd reasons, be unproductive or unhappy at work, but the hard part is doing something about it and that is where Mental Health at Work can help managers by training them to start the conversation with a common language and literacy around mental health.

Useful information. In life there are only 2 problems--mind and the body. To feel better and relaxed reduce negative thoughts. Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself physically or mentally with others, reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind instantly. [Psychomatic]. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 10-15-20 minutes or more. You can sit or lie down, anywhere-anytime, neck straight and eyes closed. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With practice the mind will relax. Keep a reminder to observe your breath sensations throughout the day and night --before sleep, when reading, at work, in school, at home, etc with eyes open or closed. Make this a lifetime habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that nutrition issues can result in anxiety. For example, magnesium deficiency can be a problem. This deficiency may result from our soils being depleted of magnesium, the increased amount of magnesium used by the body during stress, medications like birth control, and not eating enough magnesium. One good food source of magnesium (and delicious) is pumpkin seeds!

I think that this video diminishes the reasonable skepticism that many have about the lack of rigor in the mental health literature. This translates to medical interventions that are implemented against poorly defined or understood mental outcomes. In other words ... treatment requires trust.

Mental health is a level of psychological well-being or an absence of mental illness - the state of someone who is "functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral adjustment". From the perspectives of positive psychology or of holism, mental health may include an individual's ability to enjoy life, and to create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health includes "subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, inter-generational dependence, and self-actualization of one's intellectual and emotional potential, among others." The WHO further states that the well-being of an individual is encompassed in the realization of their abilities, coping with normal stresses of life, productive work and contribution to their community. Cultural differences, subjective assessments, and competing professional theories all affect how one defines "mental health".

If you liked this video, you may also want to know that vitamin B12 deficiency can cause depression, but nutrition can help! Good food sources of vitamin B12 include: animal products, and vegan/vegetarian sources. Liver is a great animal source, which you can sautee with onions, or put on skewers, roast over an open fire, and add salt and pepper! Good vegan sources include nutritional yeast and mushrooms!

I think you missed one large factor preventing people from seeking treatment. At the current rates of $100.00 to $300.00 an hour for private mental heath services. Even benefits topping out at around $500 a year don't go very far. So for anyone without a high income its simply unaffordable. Most government mental heath car only covers persons at the extreme end of the spectrum needing hospitalization.

Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." Consistently Pray for forgiveness, guidance in a good (positive) direction, and for help against evil. Pray to be saved from hell (whatever that may be). Pray for your friends and your family too, it only takes a minute or so/less at a time to pray. Do it and your life will slowly get better, or maybe quickly. It probably just depends on you and the kind of person you are/have been. Don't wait until its too late and you have to suffer the consequences of built up bad karma from immoral acts/unrepented sins. Maybe together we can help make the world a better place by changing ourselves for the better, and changing things around us for the better. And addressing/thanking the CREATOR, LORD GOD at the beginning and end of your prayers would be a good idea 😊 Or just be my friend if you don't want to say the prayer 😄 I'm trying to help you get right with the LORD 🙏 Amen. 🙏 I have worded a short prayer for you to say if you are not sure what words to use, it may not be the best but here it is 😊 '' CREATOR, LORD GOD, Please forgive me and my friends and my family for our immoral acts, please help guide us in a positive direction and please help us against evil. Please save us from Hell and have mercy on our souls. Thank you CREATOR, LORD GOD. Amen. '' Please say this at least once a day for at least a month, do it longer if you want to and can 🙏 You should prostrate yourself if you don't want to do spoken prayer, or do both 🙏☺ Please worship the LORD GOD and not any idol. Say ' Om Namah Shivaya ' out loud or in your head 108 times, or try to do it 1008 times 😊 try to do it everyday if you want repeat this aloud for as long as you want to, try to do it for like an hour a day or say it in a prayer "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner"
