This is how it works in the US: Undergraduate (any major)- 4 years Medical School- 4 years Psychiatry OR neurology residency- 4 years Neuropsychiatry fellowship- 1 year The fellowship isn’t strictly necessary to practice as a neuropsychiatrist but will give you greater expertise.
