Yeah, after recording the video I also remembered that they obviously got the remesher from Z-Brush.

Quadremesher is not ZRemesher... just a heads up, it comes from the ZBrush merger.

But QuadRemesher is made by the same Dev's who created ZRemesher.

@@daveweinstock Possibly... but it's literally called ZRemsher in Cinema and relates to the merger with Pixologic. You can still buy Quadremesher separately for other apps.

I can't find any information on this but maybe you might know... how would you stitch cloth or a rope to itself in C4D? For example, a neck lanyard where its one big loop of cloth with a stitched area that makes it into two loops.

How are the Booleans in c4d? You don't hear a lot about them so I suppose they are not on par. If anything, this Zremesher implementation will beg for a powerful boolean system that now can be much easily retopoed

I bought Exoside Quad Remesher a few days before S26 came out. Sigh. But all is not lost. I love the results with ZRemesher but one problem with it - it doesn't play well with loops. Many of the remeshings are actually "spirals" around the object so instead of a loop around a leg in a place where it seems obvious, it may spiral all the way down the leg and select 3/4 of the object. Sometimes not, but sometimes it does. I was hoping there would be some sort of adjustment to help with this but there doesn't seem to be. Exoside seems to do better in this regard but while the end topology is really good I don't think it's quite as good as ZRemesher outside of the loops problem. I'd love for somebody to tell me that there is a way to fix this.

It'll be special when the viewport performance is fixed. I get bummed seeing every release go by with all of these cute new features, with no addressing of the major speed bottlenecks in the software. A few moves into my work on a new scene, my frame rate is abysmal and scrubbing through the timeline is painful. Maxon should stop making new toys and make the software faster. Way faster.

@@vincentschwenk the bugs I can deal with. It's something that comes with every software and I don't think c4d is that bad with crashes. It's just the slow animation scrubbing that is my main issue.
