So, you're actually the first person I've seen doing videos on conditioning who has actually mentioned that - in operant conditioning - the organism actually has a choice: that of engaging in the behaviour indicated by the discriminative stimulus as being likely to result in an appetitive stimulus. Operant conditioning is one of the most important concepts to study when one is planning a career in education. I know it is now about a century old but it is still fresh and very valid!

I was more than occasionally negatively punished...I still feel the effects of the negative punishment today. I literally have to condition myself to do some things that I was once negatively punished for but now actually should do. Anyways, this video was really helpful, thanks!
