While we're all busy in our lives it's easy to overlook the significance that we actually have as an individual when it comes to impacting the world around us.
This series of animations is designed to help us get a clearer understanding of how things work so we can reconnect with where our stuff comes from, and perhaps more importantly, reconnect with our relationship to nature.
When nature thrives, we can thrive - it's a simple concept but something that we've very much neglected to recognise in our modern world.
This first animation of the series offers an introduction to regenerative agriculture.
Since we all eat everyday, our food choices are one of our biggest consumer powers. But it can easily becoming confusing, overwhelming or impractical to consider changing our habits.
So getting an understanding of what regenerative agriculture is and how it helps is a great first step within all of this.
If you enjoy the video please consider sharing it!
And if you'd like to get a deeper understanding of this topic be sure to check out my interview with Caroline Grindrod, where she shares her depth of knowledge all about regenerative agriculture.
• What Is Regenerative A...
And remember to subscribe to the channel to keep up to date as I add further animations and weekly interviews!

The reason why Regenative Ag is not known is because Big Agriculture Corporations lose profit because of it. And Regenative Agriculture feeds locally and helps the community and not the CEO.

No one can stop the truth forever. I do all I can to write stories, gather humans, design farms and regenerative Farming communities, because the beauty is contagious. More, please!!! CEOs of deadly ag are silent in the face of truth, and reality's potency.

I do regenerative farming,no till with cover crops 24/7,what disturbs me is urban encroachment on farmland...miles and miles of asphalt,cement,and houses which in my opinion is a major contributor to this thing called climate change

Thanks @jimmydykes7961 wonderful to hear that you're farming regeneratively and you make a great point, no doubt there is a much broader picture that's beyond the reach of farmers.

the issue is that most development is not urban enough, aka not dense enough with good transport options in order to minimise land use, but the car industry requires sprawl so that’s what we’ll get

We need to look after the soil be more responsible and respect it, not just think of it as a money making machine. I saw a video here on youtube about Australia and the drought a couple of years back, two farmers decided to go back to the old ways of managing their land, they supported the natural system and way the land was with rocks etc, in the middle of a tough drought their fields were the only ones still showing green grass, they spoke to the Aboriginal people who had vast knowledge of the land and the rivers and used the knowledge to support the land rather than force it in to what others wanted - to make more money

Very honest, forward and impactful interview. Definitely requires multiple watch sessions especially in those moments when you feel your current realities are out of your control.

Great job; this explanation really illuminates the fundamental difference that underlies conventional vs regenerative agriculture. Parts versus the whole. Also love the animation style! Looks like every detail was drawn with care.

Great simple video. Should be shown everywhere as a great introduction to Regen Ag. Farmers are a solution and NOT the problem. Unless of course we think processed "food" by huge global food companies serves the interests of humanity. I for one, believe in regenerative agriculture and support local farmers. Greater nutrition for me and my children, better for the local economy, and of course better for the earth.

@@markhasenour12 How's your soil? Just because you are 5th generation and employ mono crop farming methods doesn't make you an expert. I guess that probably makes you one that believes conventional farming is the way to go. More and more farmers are starting to think differently. I'm not a farmer but I have visited regenerative farms and can see the difference. I guess I'll continue on my gullible ways. Take care and I wish you all the best.

@@tombarrett7797 we have soil tests done every other year. We know what we're doing. No no no.. more and more farmers are not... You're just being led to believe that.. I don't understand how people like you can see all the incredible technology that has been created in the last 50 years but somehow be led to believe that we're going backwards in agriculture.. it makes no sense... We're not. Agriculture is more productive and efficient than ever before

What is the difference between Regenerative agriculture & Organic agriculture?
@wearecarbon-earth
@wearecarbon-earth Жыл бұрын
That's a great question! It's not always a straight forward answer because there are cross overs between the two and also the terms can be used with varying meaning by different organisations. If food is labelled as organic then it will need to meet particular standards in its production that restrict the amount of synthetic chemicals used - this is a great step for both the natural environment and the health of consumers. Regenerative isn't a specified food standard but it refers to practices of farming that in many ways cross over with and also go beyond organic. This is because it takes on a wider consideration for increasing the health of soil and biodiversity and values the role of these in supporting crop growth and resilience. Regenerative practises include a wide range of approaches including no till, cover crops, regenerative grazing, agroforestry. Organisations may use their own unique terminology but a consistent theme will be creating a system that reduces dependency on synthetic inputs by replacing them with a healthy ecosystem which is beneficial to the crops and their nutritional value, alongside the wider benefits of climate resilience that are an outcome of regenerating the soil and increasing biodiversity.

How to Farm & Garden Video titled. Sustainable Farming & Ranching in a Hotter, Drier Climate. Gabe Brown I have watched many videos of Gabe Brown over the last 2 - 3 yrs.& many others about regenerative farming. It has been proven to work for those willing to put in the time & some work. It will not make a big change in a short period of time, but it will make gradual improvement over a period of several yrs Gabe said that he's never had anyone go back to the old ways after sticking it out for 5yrs.
