Thank you, Dr. McGowan. In the *almost* 2 years since my ESG, I've learned that if I feel full.... I've already overeaten. Eating to satisfaction is key.

Im a gastric bypass patient, since the day after surgery i've been unable to feel satisfied AT ALL, no matter how much i look for signs im always hungry, my doctor wont check me up to see if by any chance they left my stomach pouch bigger than the rest> Other patients were full with less than 2oz of food at the puree stage, i was able to go up to 3 with no issues and all the doctor said was: THAT'S NORMAL, now im 4 months post op and i live in regret and unhappy.

I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy 10 years ago ... i went from 640 to 190 lbs in a year. now 10 years out I am able to eat 1000-1200 calories a day... restriction is very real.... some days i can eat 5 oz meat... other days i struggle to eat 3 oz ... restriction feels like a fist squeezing my stomach... no pain... just,,,, it wont stretch to allow food and if i force it i feel nauseous and will even throw up. I also have what seems to be a rare side effect,,,,,, I have not felt hungry since the morning i was put under for my vsg surgery... whatever makes a person hungry was removed from my body with my stomach... what i feel is like acid in my belly when it wants food... like a burning feeling..
