What is Right to 'Timely' Public Service?

Right to Delivery of Public Services provides for time bound delivery of services for various public services rendered by the Government to citizen.
But different state laws in India are mostly inadequate in nature.
It is for these reasons that a Model Law is required. It should guarantee timely public services, establish mechanisms to rationalize & reduce documents needed etc
To address the above mentioned issue, Centre for Civil Society-a public policy think tank in Delhi proposes a Model Public Services Delivery Act. You can read more about the Act here- ccs.in/model-p...

Efficient public service delivery can be ensured through self-accountability, honesty, and dedication. This will also ensure the strengthening of good governance. However, for the same public organization need to have standards, benchmark assessment process and models to rate the services…by d way really nice and informative video Priya👍👍

Well explained. But I feel having yet another law in India won't change much. Corruption is so deep-rooted at all levels of Central and State Govts that merely adding more laws like Right to Servive Act won't impact quality of governance. Instead, Govt should digitize and automate public services through websites or centrally administered computer applications, which drastically remove the descretionary powers from officials and public requests are approved by default after a reasonable preset period of time in the digitized systems. Removing / reducing human to human contact in governance structures is the best way to reduce corruption. No law can reduce corruption by itself. Notice how getting a passport, driving license, etc. has become so much easier without having to engage a tout who is in nexus with govt officials at these offices. Just 15-20 years ago, before IRCTC came into being and its website was open to public to book train tickets, most people would book tickets through touts who were in collusion with ticketing clerks. Now this has reduced so much.

Respected Priya madam, you are a law expert & have high faiths on Indian Jurisdiction, but at police Station 183, Bathnaha, Sitamarhi, Bihar, Noise Pollution laws are frequently violated, but no one looks at it, even Supreme court ignores it. Than local administration often tries to demotivate me by delaying to give me administrative services. Cases of bribe is very high.

One issue is there. Just like Fundamental Rights need to be balanced with Fundamental Duties. Right to Service also needs to be balanced with Right to be Eligible to obtain the Service. Most of the applicants on RTI are found to be asking irrelevant and non-pertinent questions which are a nuisance and it wastes a lot of precious time for workaholic public servants. So, there needs to be some form of punishment for such cases where the misuse can be stopped.

(When both wives concur on the relationship) Several factors that will prevent two marriages 1) Money; 2) Society; 3) Love Life; 4) Religion If the first wife consents, the second marriage will take the following factors into account: financial and property distribution, love life. Then any residual social, religious, or legal restrictions that prevent a person from getting married to two women at once. Hence, extramarital affairs and live-in relationships (Section 497) are why legal? (If having two wives (marriage in accordance with religion) violates our religious ideals, how is cheating (living with a BF/GF) legal under our laws?) Extramarital and living Should be illegal🙏

Hello Priya ma'am I am a research scholar, please make a video or share information regarding FSSAI Laws for restaurants and ACTS, if they do not follow the law. I explain with one example: a few days I go to restaurants and the following thing happens: 1) they offer me packed water when I say, I need normal water. They told me that they can not serve normal water. Is there any law for them? 2) if a restaurant, put an extra charge on the packed item above MRP. is that correct or not? If not, then what do we do?

Government doesn't have enough time to appoint competent people. They'll appoint random people based on their ability to memorize current affairs and hope they're competent. By chance if they get someone who's competent, their payscale and policies will make sure they get lazy and incompetent.
