Excited to see what a potential Georgi and Brenden combination would like like. Both can play centrally, out-wide, or inverted wingers. Could see them giving back lines fits with their free roaming tendencies.

This is a damning indictment of Farke. With just some cursory research into Georgi, you have found that he thrives in areas with lots of space. The two roles that Farke has put him in have required him to work in extremely tight spaces and had players like Piroe and Bamford and, at times, Willie and Cre wasting the huge amount of space that Georgi was creating. It's also rough because Leeds will not sign a 10 this window, Farke sees Rutter as the 10 and we will sign wingers, defenders and midfielders but not a GK, 10 or striker

Im looking forward to seeing how Farke sets up his team for this season and hopefully he sees what you have pointed out Ben. Its not just Rutter who needs to improve/adjust but also players around him so they support each other as you mentioned with regards to Cree.

Great analysis on a wonderful player. Will be interesting to see who joins him in the team’s attacking lineup. Would be good to watch a follow up once the squad is settled as to how our attack will play. Top stuff.

If the idea is to play georgi at 9 and allow him to drift wide then you'll need a goalscoring 10 behind him like a Sammy szmonics. I also worry it'll hamper the rest of the squad. I can see BA and gnonto being able to play the narrow roles but it won't suit DJ and not sure how piroe or Joseph fit. I think we're better off with him on the right allowing him more of those 1v1s and mateo keeping the cbs pinned. The 10 is a point for discussion if BA is to be that man decision making has to improve but he has ball carrying ability and can help in the press. Movement is good too

Rutter and Hlozek pkaying off the right and left respectively. Aaronson playing an attacking 8 plsying centrally - plus a 9: Joseph or maybe Ratkov from Salzburg.

8:58 is what drives me bonkers about the way Rutter is used. So often he collects the ball in or around the centre circle with his back to goal and a defender tight on him and invariably loses possession. A proper No.10 would be able to feed the ball through to him in space

My XI Meslier, Hume, Rodon, Struijk, Firpo, Amapdu, Gray, Szmodics, Rutter(RF) Gnonto (LF) and Joseph. You'd have James, Piroe, Aaronson, Kamara, Gruev etc as back ups.

Would a 4 3 3 suit Leeds better. Joseph in the middle. Goeorgi and aaronson interchangeable and 2 attacking midfields who can score? With dj as a sub or instead of aaronson

The best position for Rütter is playing off a Nine in a 442. The obvious problem is that Leeds do not use the 442 formation. He is not a winger, nor is he an attacking midfielder.

Rutter's strength is driving forwards with the ball and drawing fouls. He's not a goal scorer. He's not a 10. He's not a winger. The only way he fits into our team is if he replaces Kamara (or what Kamara was supposed to be!) in the box to box through running midfield role. He can transport the ball from the edge of our box to the attacking third but then he needs to give it to a proper 10 (yet to be signed) or the wide men to deliver the final ball into the box and make the chances

I’m sorry I don’t agree Rutter is going to be benched a lot next season if Farke wants to keep his job. Rutter will only be effective on the wing and he won’t be more effective than James or Gnonto. So where does he go from there? The only way Rutter ups his game for Leeds United is by improving his passing technique and that begins by lifting his head up and passing properly. Looking at his stats is not encouraging to me the red numbers are basic traits for #10’s his goal scoring is not going to get better it hasn’t in the past seasons and won’t this season. The sad thing is Aaronson won’t be any better. An important point which is not being relayed to the public is teams now have over 46 videos of us playing and Rutter is on all 46 managers know what to expect and they will snuff him out as the league goes on.

@@dau1024 By double teaming him we saw how that went towards the back end of the season. If you think I’m being negative you’re reading my comments wrong, if you can read that is. I challenge you to reply back when this starts happening. No you won’t will you because people like you are conformists I want this club to move forward with a pledge of excellence and that means all players firing on all cylinders if an important player is being tactically marked out of the game the manager should have the knowledge to free that important player up. Listening to you lot speak no wonder the England squad are struggling modern football needs people who know what they are doing tactically if you don’t have the capability chaps stop commenting. I’m dropping knowledge from a very firm tactical base. Reply when you see the problems pointed out and I’ll tell you how to break Rutter free.

@I-SelfLordAndMaster 🤣🤣Forgive me, I didn't realize I was speaking with a tactical genius. So Bamford being out, allowing the opposing defense to close all the space in between the lines had nothing to do with Rutter's drop in form last season? And Rutter, being 22 years of age has no chance to improve on his finishing or all around game. Got it.
