What is SWOT analysis? and how can it be used to analyse a business such as Amazon? This video explains briefly what a SWOT analysis is and how it can be used to assess the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of a company. SWOT is covered for Amazon with an opportunity for viewers to pause the video and create their own SWOT of Amazon before the answers are displayed. Hi Ed, I think you may have got a little confused here. I have tried to find your video that explains TOWS so I can understand where you have gone wrong and misinterpreted the SWOT model. It seems that all your explainer videos are missing as it says you have 0 videos any chance you could send it us so we can see it from your point of view and then we can identify your confusion as all the scholarly articles support exactly what is being said in the video. Hope we can resolve your misinterpretation asap.

I teach my students that the value of the TOWS matrix is that the recommended strategies are evidence-based. By inserting possible strategic recommendations instead of opportunities into the O of the SWOT model you are not showing any actual evidence of opportunities. A good example of the correct application of the model can be found in Wheelen and Hunger's Strategic Management and Business Policy textbook or here kzfaq.info/get/bejne/aN6hqLailbO3cZc.html. As I said the misapplication of the opportunities element of the SWOT can be found in many, many places on the internet - particularly in pay-per-print journals.
