Im with papa booth on this one - when you're having a biscuit you'll never dunk it for more than a few seconds before having a nibble, so it doesn't really matter how long the biscuit can last win a continuous dunk, provided it lasts for those initial few seconds.

ill admit im on papa booth's side, testing which is the best for dunking is about how well they all taste after a standard dunk in the tea - they dont have to last for a minute submerged in the tea to be a good dunking biscuit hahaha

Honestly, the nightmare of dunking would be for a biscuit to break in the cup. A dunking connoisseur knows just the right amount of time to dunk before it breaks and feels they are a failure if the biscuit breaks and ruins the tea. It's not about the biscuit and how long it lasts before breaking, it's all about the skill of the dunker 🤣. Maybe the mix up between you and papa Booth is in the interpretation of the word "dunk"? Maybe you believe dunk to be when the biscuit breaks, and papa Booth believes it to be the act of submerging in the tea to soften it slightly? 🙂

Dad is right. Your test has no real-world practical application. No one is sitting there with their biscuit in tea until it drops. Your test also doesn't determine the best dunking biscuit, only the longest lasting. The longest lasting biscuit is arguably the worst because it absorbs the least amount of tea, defeating the purpose of the dunk in the first place.

i must have commented this on every one of your videos last year but here we are again! 5pm on mondays and thursdays is such a great upload time, i had my first proper day back in school today and it's so great to come home to a cup of tea and a new video from you :) no biscuits today though, my family ate them all already :(((

Grace, I'm with your dad on this one: I think you should just see which ones taste best after being dipped in tea. However, I'm American and never really dip stuff in tea or coffee, but I have to add that a "digestive" sounds like something that should be taken as medicine if you have indigestion!
