SL/SL lock all the way, the more mobs you pull, the more healing you do. Seed of Corruption if you want to go the nuclear option instead of wearing them down. Zero downtime.

I think mages will develop a new way to aoe farm that doesn't centrally focus on blizzard for it's main damage. That or they will find a way to get infinite mana off their absorption talent and just blizzard for 10 minutes straight until their reduced damage blizzard kills the mass of mobs

I used to farm beasts in Black Morass with prot pala. If you have skinning and enchanting too, then you can get alot of gold farming it. Trinket from Shattered Halls last boss helps, every time you block it heals you for 120hp, lasts 20 sec. Cleared whole instance in 4 pulls (so I had time to skin)

How do you get the green shield on your own server? I sometimes play on my own TBC server but I don't know all gm spells yet.

Lock can also do some slightly decent pulls due to siphon and link so still has a little potential

That's not how the AoE target cap works, essentially the number of targets is not capped, but the amount of damage is to 10 targets, so if there's 20 mobs in your pull, they all take 50% damage.

i used to go to Scarlet Monastery and walk right up to mograin and spam SoC since all mobs run to him first, BOOOM, whole instance down in under 2 minutes.

I played a prot pally all through TBC and I want to say I'm one of the people who made prot pallies popular on my server because I was very good at tanking everything. Gold was never an issue and I was several groups go to guy when it came to 5m heroics or 10m raids. When you're good at a prot pally you can chain pull everything without any CC and your healer won't have any issues keeping you topped off because the damage you take is nil. 5m heroic farming was a very very good way to make gold.

Would like to note for anyone here now that so far in TBC mote farming on high pop severs is totally viable! You might have 1 or 2 people competing with you, but not enough to actually impact your kill speeds significantly.

That is not how AOE cap works, if you damage more enemies, the damage % gets split...

I assume ZF and such won't be viable for raw gold in TBC ? I did mostly mining and herbing back in the day with the lack of better information on good gold farms.

Is rogue gonna be good for gold making without mining/herbalism? My rogue is a skinner/leatherworker and I don't want to change.

To clear up the mage cap. If you have 10 enemies and you deal 200 dmg to each per tick, you are doing 2000 damage. If you have 11 enemies, you're dealing 2000 / 11 per tick to each mob.

As of the old Patchnotes AOE Cap was introduced with 2.2. and TBC starts with 2.0.1. So if they keep the orginal shedule there should be plenty of time to aoe farm till 2.2 drops.

Hunter is as effective as warlock when it comes to farming elementals also.

Hehe, I love these kinds of videos.. But at the same time the facts you present to the public scare me... I always felt that Classic was dead on arrival for me, after realizing as I started out that the new -gen players of today completely run over the game by all the min maxing thats being done. Hopefully things like this will be kept to a minimum so that the economy won't be completely fucked just like it is in Classic. The economy, and the way people progress through professions and gear while raiding and doing stuff in the game all ties into the experience that is the game (imho). Hoping TBC becomes everything and more, can't wait for the Blizzcon announcements!

items that reflects dmg such as cloak of flames and the rag trinket are not good cus first of all they dont scale with spell dmg and second of all they only procc when hit so every time you mitigate the dmg isnt reflected basically. lots of better item options in those slots.

Don't forget Druid in flight form is cannot be tracked by human tracking.

Resto druids are insanely good on farming in tbc due lifebloom and insect swarm. You just have to remain 3xlb and insect swarm mobs. As your gear progresses your killing targets gets easier and easier so with the caverns of time raiding sets you just kill 71+ elites as aoe like mages kills back in classic without a problem. Because of low need of mana (only insect swarm / thorn / lb) its infinite. As long as your lifebloom tick surpasses the dmg done theres nothing you need to worry. Even it happens in pvp; wsg theres no class to kill you when you got that gear progress so you just walkin to enemy base loot and run while 5 player trying to stop you. Just keep hold the same combos alltime and ns+ht for emergency. Ultimate cheat class = druid

this is something that has been bothering me. there's not a lot of information about the Rough estimates of gold per hour of tbc. since i'm making atm 400 gold per hour boosting plebs in maraudon on my mage. if i can't make it above 400 gold per hour i might aswell, do more maraudon.

dont even think about farming elementals for making gold they will be the most farmed in tbc and the mats they drop will be expensive af because they are used for blacksmithing weapons.

I think that selling boosts as protection paladin will make the most gold out of them all since there will be less competition with the mages being gone. And i also think that the same protection paladin will be able to sell a ton of runs for the 280% flight form.
