Hey James, I need your advice urgently. Would you think it’s enough for me to attempt each sitting with 2 acca p papers, whilst studying full time (not working)? Example, june 2022 and Sep 2022, I’ll attempt SBL SBR ATX AFM, that’s about 6 months to study these 4 modules, is it possible?

Hi James, love the videos. Just a quick question, currently taking the applied knowledge exams & plan to take the applied skills exams after; are the strategic professional papers (essentials & options) compulsory. Ideally I'd like to study up to the applied skills exams & leave it at that, but can't find any information anywhere indicating whether that is a possible option? If completing only up to the applied skills is enough to gain some sort of employment, then that would be enough for me.

For some reasons after the 3rd combination the rest wasn't clear.....for example I'm not sure whether you said financial reporting should pair up with f6....

Hi James! So many people have recommended I do FR with AA but after watching your video, it would seem that TX an FR would be a better combination. Would you be able to advise if FR & AA would be suitable or FR & TX would be the better option? It will be for Mar 23 sitting so I plan to start my studying this month to be able to support sitting 2 exams together, but I'm cautious as it is a March sitting I may be better to sit TX in June 23 separately and then FM in Sept 23. Any advice would be great! I work in management accounting if that helps at all :)

Hi i have given AAA in june 2023 attempt and scored 44 it was my 3rd attempt. Iam actually exhausted by repeatedly studing and appearing for same for the past few months. So i started studying APM for sept 2023 session, but now i think i should also give AAA by doing the questions and increase my typing speed where i lack. Ma was so hard, i took it at the same time as BT woth a tuition provider and found 70% of my time sucked into MA. I did manage a pass barely with 52%, and I mean the sigh of relief that i didn't have to sit it again was crazy. I got 60% in BT, I would have liked to have scored higher but as I said I lut a lot into MA, and with ACCA, a pass is a pass. I'm sitting FA in 5 weeks in June, and then I'll start doubling up again. I'm 35 so I want to get the exams done as fast as possible. Your videos on MA really helped. 😊

With 7 weeks before the exam and starting a fresh, it would be tough but it is doable to learn the material and pass the exam, it all depends how much available time you have around commitments. Hello Kruthi, yes you can take both exams together however I would not recommend this as they are very big syllabuses. I would personally do SBR first unless you have just sat FM (F9) and are up to date on that knowledge. How much time we need to prepare for taxation paper ??

Hello Stha, thank you for the comment and I hope you found the video helpful! 😄 If you are studying tax for the first time, I would recommend at least 3 months to prepare, but if you are already working for a tax company then 6 weeks minimum to complete the study text, exam practice and past paper questions... It all depends on your circumstances and situation! Hi James,I scored 49 in PM in the recent sitting. I have FM and PM remaining in skills level. I have covered around 20%of FM. Considering the syllabus changes in PM. Whether you would advice me to give both PM and FM in September considering I am a full time student?

I second this question. Had 46% in PM and was already studying for FR…about 20%. Is it advisable to write the 2? Or just PM?

If I complete f1-f8 can I do f9 along with a professional paper? In order words can I appear for applied level paper with a strategic paper?

Hello Abigail and congratulations on completing the first 8 papers. Yes you can do AA and a professional paper, but if you have never worked in audit before I would highly recommend just doing it on it's own.
