Thank you so much for replying! That is so kind of you. In your research did you come across the Canon ts9521c craft printer? It has auto duplex, up to 12 x 12 paper (maybe even bigger) and excellent print resolution. I just can't find any hard facts about the weight of paper it will accommodate. Like you, I want to use heavy cardstock. At least 110 lb, but heavier if I can get it. Your video is gold. Also, is that the thickest cardstock paper there is? Thanks for everything. Going to subscriber for sure.... 👍

Hi Ceasr - Thank you so much for your comment and for watching! That's a great question. I honestly don't know if currently there is a photo printer that would print on such heavy cardstock. However, with that said, this printer prints images really well. In fact, when I purchased the printer, it came with luster photo paper that was 11 x 17 and 8 x 10. I print all of my photos for my house on it. So I think it's a great option. In terms of how heavy is the heaviest cardstock...? I believe 130 lb cardstock might be the heaviest, but I am not sure and don't see it regularly. What are you trying to print?

Hi Niles! You are so welcome. The problem really is not with the printer settings, but with the paper itself. I honestly haven't found thick cardstock paper that is able to do this. However, I have this blog here you can read about paper I recommend: atouchofla.com/best-paper-for-vibrant-print-then-cut-cricut-projects/ - It doesn't just work for your Cricut, so just don't pay attention to the name. Very helpful video! I'm just learning some of this and I do have questio. I saw your article on paper and I'm wondering...can you make an actual invitation with 80 or 110 lb paper with a Cricut? Does it write well on the invite vs using a printer?
@atouchofla
@atouchofla 29 күн бұрын
So glad it was helpful! To answer your question if you are using a Cricut to do writing then it doesn’t matter the weight of the paper because Cricut can write on any type of paper. :) the only time it really matters is when you’re doing a print then cut project so you’ll have to use the printer and then cut it but if you’re just using the writing capability with the cutting machine, then it really really doesn’t matter what weight of paper you use. Does that make sense?

Hey there! The rear tray of the Canon PIXMA PRO-100 can hold up to 50 sheets of paper, depending on the thickness of the paper. The printer can use plain paper, including recycled paper, and non-Canon genuine specialty paper up to 53 lb (200 g /m2). Heavier or lighter paper, except for Canon genuine paper, can cause jams. The manual feed tray can use paper from 4 to 23.6 mil (0.1 to 0.6 mm) (up to 93 lb (350 g /m2)), but paper thicker or heavier can cause jams.

What would you say the price per page is in terms of ink usage? )or how often do you have to change cartridges)
@atouchofla
@atouchofla 4 ай бұрын
Hey there! I probably change one of the ink cartridges every few months. It is hard to say because there are so many of them, and it really depends on what you are printing. I used to use my printer a lot more for my business, but I don't use it as much any more for that. I typically use it for home projects and things of that nature. A good example is in December I decided to print out a bunch of 11 x 14 photos with the printer. I did about 5 of them and changed a few of the ink cartridges at the beginning of that project. It is March and I don't think I have changed them since. As mentioned, I recommend this knockoff ink: shrsl.com/3botx (I know they say that it isn't good, but I have been using it since I got this printer! and have had no problems :) I hope that helps!

Hi Lisa! Thanks for your message! I honestly haven't printed on 12 x 12. However, I would be confident it would be fine with that size. The one thing I would recommend is testing out the paper. The paper itself is really the true test. I have found that even though the 110 cardstock paper from Michaels is good in terms of it's heaviness, it doesn't print on vibrant colors. I would say you should do a test with different types of paper. I have a few blogs about the paper I use for projects, which I will list below. The printer sounds good for heavy stock but it's an ink jet, no good for foil printing. So the holy grail is a 300GSM mono laser printer that is cheap. Trying to find one is like trying to find hen's teeth! impossible!

@@atouchofla I have a canon pixma ip8750 and it worked well with 300gsm/ 110lb depending on the paper. So for inket I wil recommend for those without the budget for the canon pro-100 and still want quality print. My next inket printer will definitely be a pro-200. Thank you for this video ❤️.

@@meejay100 thank you so much! This is super helpful! I found that printer on on Amazon: amzn.to/43sMFUU - still a bit pricey but you’re right! Much better! Thank you again!

Hey there! Yes, that is really a wifi thing. You just make sure you are on the same wifi, and you can print from your phone as well as your computer.
