Since there are a ton of different tattoo machines on the market and new ones coming out all the time it can be difficult to pick a tattoo machine that will be the best for you, not to mention one that is in your budget. @@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Sorry for jumping in here - From all AVA machines (at 4 to 4.5 stroke), if price is not an issue and had to choose between EP7+ or the EP10 which do you trust more? They're different, sure but I'm talking about doing what they're supposed to do and not "more features in one". Thanks a bunch for everything, really good no BS content. Love it!

@@merrynothing3204 I like the 7+ better. The hit and the way the machine feels are just better. Even tho the 10 has all the different strokes. But everyone is different with what they like in their machines !

@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Great! That's what I thought - EP10 looked way too long of a pen and the weight on the top made me pause... I remember your reviews and as much as it's cool to change stroke and have tactile buttons, the EP7 sounds way more comfortable for the movement I use with my hand/wrist. The "feeling" of use when someone has the same preferences can be an important question. Huge thanks!

I've really really really enjoyed using the AI Tenitas Prophet T100. Had to send it back once for warranty as it wouldn't turn on but that was probably my fault by dousing it in disinfectant like other machines and killing the electronics in it but they were pretty good about getting me a return label and had it back within a few weeks. Tried the EP10 and an amazon knockoff bishop wireless while the Prophet was being repaired and they were solid but nowhere near as smooth or ergonomic as the Prophet. I'd say its basically a replacement for the FK irons Flux but about 1/2 the price and uses easily replaceable batteries, which was my biggest issue with FK Irons products. The flux batteries would just do weird things and sometimes they wouldn't turn on until plugged in or wouldn't power on at all one day and the next day they're fine. Also tried the Cheyenne Sol Nova unlimited and it seems to be best for strictly shading/color packing since the 3.5mm stroke just doesn't hit very hard and the adjustment for needle depth is pretty shallow for people that like to hang the liner out.

my favorites are Bishop wand clone 4.0 stroke, it's 1 year old and still running smooth and stable. then MAST TOUR PRO 3.6 stroke, one year few months also still running stable. Rocket V2 3.5 stroke, it's 3 years old now and still loving it. now I have Flux Max Clone 3.5 stroke with 3 batteries and I haven't used it !

But if you want something with more strokes you can’t go wrong with the 10. I just like the 7+ because it’s really the only stroke I use.

Kind of a tricky question. Depends on what kind of lines. The last couple weeks I’ve been using the critical torque 4.2 and have been really liking that for lines. But before I got that my go to was the Ava ep7+

@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial well, it's not as convenient as some machines outhere because you have to unwrap it to change the batteries and you can't change stroke while you're working, but the way it runs and those motor torque mods makes the machine pretty much unique!

Any machine over $200 is over price, it's just metal & motor combine, most machine today operates the same, if people want quality tattoos, go to someone that does good work and has long experience tattooing.

I used both the bishop series and the ambition soldier machine as well as the vlad blad A2 pro and in my opinion you’re up in the night if you think the quality is nearly the same lol. Just playin with you appreciate the content, but I do mean what I’m saying here about the machine qualities being nowhere near the same

Both, specifically my comment was about the bishop vs the knockoff or the ambition soldier. But the vlad blad is equally better and an incredibly versatile machine.

There so many machines under 200 that will last n are good machines. Literso many choices and even if it only last a year or two you can just buy another one from all the money you made from it. No biggie. I use a bronc, mummy, n dragonhawk that all been working great for me for over 2 years. Just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve used a few of those under 200$ machines and they are decent. But the majority are only a 3.5 mm stroke. I would rather over a 4mm stroke. Everyone likes something different tho!

I use 3.7 stroke. I do mostly Chicano style realism, black/grey. But still a new guy in this game. Still embracing all the game and got much more to learn. Learned allot from your videos aswell, thank you! Been following for some years now. Jay from LA 🤟🏼

Never tried either to tell you the truth. Longer strokes are better for lining and packing and shorter better for shading l

I used a Thunder for a long time and it was my favorite machine for a while. It is to me way better than the cheyenne pen but that's only my opinion. I like more the thunders motor and weight. You can do evertyhting with ii. However if you are a realism artist and you're looking for a very smooth shading kind of work than the spirit is the way to go.

It’s possible, doesn’t mean it’s something you’d ever want to do. Unless you get something like the vlad blad avenger 2 or the Cheyenne unio, or the axys Valhalla etc.

Stroke and motor are the biggest differences between shaders and liners or packers. As far as rotaries are concerned. Coils are a totally separate thing

On a completely unrelated note as a very talented auto painter I can paint show jobs with a $20 gun for every stage but I prefer 3 guns over 1k for each step. Differance is in how hard I work to get the same results more or less although some do break clear up better than others. I reckon tattoo machines are similar. Yes I'm here because I wanna do a few on myself yes I already have lots done by pros no I dont think I know what im doing but hey gotta start somewhere right😂
