There's many of us that may read the Guru's words but almost miss the essence of meditating or falling into meditating on the Guru's words. The deeper we contemplate the Mool Mantar, the more it will strip away the false layers of identity that we have created. It's only then that we can experience meditation which is connecting to the truth.
This video can help us to start that journey that allow us to reach a state of becoming meditative whilst losing ourselves in the Guru's wisdom of that One.

Waheguru ji ka Khalsa waheguru ji ki Fateh,This is amazing, i am from Punjab and was worried that some sants made sikhi karam kaand , which is totally opposite of Sikhism. And new generation will not even get a chance to see what it is actually. this is just great ,i hope to see more and more and infinity.

Baljit Singh explains in the second part of the video that Jap can literally be translated to recitation but where as ‘meditation’ is an umbrella term.

Hello @basics of sikhi team please help me out with one question I have been doing mediation since 4-5 year so after completion of mediation I reacite japji shab as a part of my nitnem I came across two slok of guru teg bahadur ji via instagram reels I.e jab hum hote tab tum nahi ..... and and Jo nar dukh me dukh nai mane..... and I recite this after I have completed mediation and japji shab as let's say closing statement because it is somehow pulling me towards it just want to know the correct sequence to reciting it like according to GGSJI which one comes first so that I am doing wrong please help

This is okay you can do it like that or you can meditate after and use jap Ji sahib as a boost. The order of 5 Bania nitnem is jap Ji sahib, Jaap sahib, tav prasaad swaiye, chaupai sahib, Anand sahib. Many gursikhs do more. Eg. Shabad hazare, shabad hazare patshahi 10 (10th king), sukhmani sahib, salok mahala 9, asa ki vaar 5 Granthi on top of Simran. So just keep at it and slowly start with Jaap sahib and so on gurkirpa

There is no correct sequence. I would advise doing Simran. Or doing upaji parayana by Baljit kaur Khalsa

There is no correct or incorrect sequence or time or occasion for gurbani. Everything in Guru Granth Sahib ji is praise of that one mighty in one way or other. What only matters is doing it and doing it without any wordly boundations and fear.

Real meditation does not have any techniques. We don't do meditation, we go into meditation. Nobody can instruct you how to meditate and if they do then that is not the real meditation. When praying, reciting simran/ mantras inquire who is doing this? That's why people can read holy Scriptures million times and still not be Enlightened.

The Guru Granth Sahib opens with the basic concept of the One Universal, supreme Energy called by so many different names across humanity,. This is called the Mool Mantra as follows; Ik oankar - One absolute being (God) Satnam - Eternal truth it's name Karta Purkh - Creator Nirbau - without fear Nirvair - without hate/ enmity Akal Murat - Deathless/timeless image Ajuni - Beyound birth and death Saibang - self existant Gurprasad - known by the Guru's Grace. In the words of the tenth Sikh Guru - Guru Gobind Singh "recognise the human race as ONE

You got the first one wrong my friend. Ik Oankar means the one sound that created it all. No mention of being or God in the phrase. I used to think it meant what you said as well because that's what I was taught. Thanks to to the Brits, I'm willing to bet that most Sikhs still believe that it means one God. It wasn't until I started listening to Jagraj Singh that I actually pondered its true meaning. Even though he is gone from this maya I still manage to learn something from him almost every day.
