0:58 Intuitively, before I even started studying story structure and was discovery writing, I was actually writing the beats of a Save The Cat even though I thought I was writing three act story structure. Funny how we all seem to know it on some level without hearing about it for the first time.

I'm continually mystified why videos about the Save the Cat book drawn tens of thousands of views, while videos by the author of the book barely crack four figures. As much as I appreciate KZfaq and what is offered on it, the algorithm seems to do some of the strangest things sometimes, doesn't it?

I bought the book. The beats are great because it makes you really think about what you are trying to get across. I did not realize that there are external plots and internal plots. I am thinking of adding a signature which would be the emotional beat. It would be like the criminal mindset. The MO or mode of operation is how he works the crime. The signature is what he does for his emotional satisfaction. Could that concept carry over into writing?

I do think the emotional signature could carry over into the writing if I am understanding what you mean. It sounds like a really interesting thriller!

I have just finished writing my vampire thriller novel. I am going over it with the information I have learned from your book. I am making some corrections and it is working. Not sure if this is the best way to use the book. I bought the book after writing my novel. Cheers!
