A fine attempt by Dr. Sahib to educate the people. We are told that clergy in sacerdotal sense doesn't exist in Islam. Then how did it creep into the Muslim world in the form of moulanas, muftis, qazis, ayatollahs, rohullahs and more importantly murshads, peers, etc. and has developed in to strong institution. First one for the first time

From my understanding, these are occupations in India. Brahmin, Kshatriya and Vaish. Anyone from any tribe can become one of those. It is not a class or caste so no one can inherit from their parents. One has to prove to the society his intelligence or warrior skills. It is called vertical hierarchy. These people can't work for money or material achievements. Specially Clergy or Brahmin or Philosophers has to impart knowledge free of cost. They were sacred in society not by themselves but rather the society made them like this because they were Intellectuals. From my understanding also, we prefer idealism, pure spiritual society. But in Modernity, vertical hierarchy was replaced with horizontal and a new kind of bourgeois Capitalist Society was created by merchants and traders in west who were neglected in the village life, so they started building Cities and from there Modern Science and Technology, buisness, banks etc started establishing. So Modernity is kind of Godless era. Professor Ji is 100% correct. When clergy starts working for money and power it is not clergy them they are hypocrite. Clergy should be like Baba Bulleh shah, Plato, Aristotle etc.. from my understanding. What do you say Professor??

This lecture was going very well until Dr. Taimur Sahab decided to dabble into something he doesn't have a good understanding about. Sir, u say we dont need ulema to understand Quran n Sunnah and people can figure matters related to fiqh themselves. In a similar vein, i suggest that you shouldn't go to a doctor's clinic for consultation. Rather all the knowledge is available, pick up those books, read articles online and then diagnose and treat yourself or your family members and perform surgery if required. I am sure u won't be open to that idea and will call it absurd. It just boggles my mind why people who are well read, can say something that makes so little sense. I suppose that will remain a mystery to me

اسلام کبھی بھی مذہبی بنیادوں پر حکومت کا تصور نہیں رہتا بلکہ یہ حکومت کرتا ہے بنیادی اخلاقیات کی اساس پر یعنی وہ چیزیں جس پر پوری دنیا کے انسان متفق ہیں چاہے وہ انسانی زندگی کا کوئی بھی درجہ ہو انفرادی ہو خاندانی ہو معاشرتی ہو صوبائی ہو ملکی ہو بین الاقوامی ہوں اسلام جو حکومت کا تصور دیتا ہے وہ جمہوریت کی بنیاد پر ہے جیسے اللہ تعالی حضور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو قرآن مجید میں حکم دیتے ہیں کہ وشاورھم فی الامر کہ آپ صحابہ کرام سے مشورہ لیں ہر کام میں وہاں پر امر کا صیغہ استعمال کیا گیا ہے جس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ آپ کو یہ کہا جاتا ہے اپنے صحابہ سے مشورہ لے کر کام کریں اور صحابہ کرام رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین کا بھی یہ وطیرہ رہا ہے کہ وہ مشاورت کے ساتھ کام کرتے تھے جیسے کہ حضرت عمر نے شام کی زمینوں کے فتح ہونے کے بعد یہ کہا کہ اگر میں حکومت میں ہوں تم بھی حکومت کرے ہوں یہ بات انہوں نے اپنے مشورہ دینی والے افراد سے کہی اور کہا کہاگر میں آج غلط فیصلہ کرتا ہوں اس غلطی میں آج تم بھی شامل ہوگئے اور اگر میں آج صحیح فیصلہ کرتا ہوں تو اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ تم نے صحیح فیصلہ کیا اور اسی لیے اپنی رائے کو بلاججھک پیش کرو اس سے سمجھا جا سکتا ہے کہ اسلام کا جو نظام حکومت ہے وہ جمہوریت کی بنیاد پر ہے وہ کسی مذہب کی بنیاد پر نہیں ہے اگر صرف مذہب کی بنیاد پر ہوتا تو صرف یہ چند عبادات کا مجموعہ ہوتا جیسے نماز روزہ زکوۃ حج ہے لیکن یہ بنیادی اخلاقیات کے مجموعہ کے طور پر کام کرتا ہے جس میں انسانوں کی بنیادی اخلاقیات کے طور پر انتظام کیا جاتا ہے جیسے کہ طہارت ہر انسانی قوم چاہے وہ کسی بھی جغرافیائی حدود سے تعلق رکھتی ہو اس پر متفق ہے کہ انسان طہارت پسند ہے انسانی نظام میں طہارت ہونی چاہیے پاکیزگی ہونے چاہئیں اخبات اللہ تعالی کہ ہر انسان اپنے سے کسی بڑی قوت کو مانتا ہے چاہے وہ کسی درجے پر ہو جیسے کہ مسلمان اللہ کو ڈائریکٹ بطور خدا ۔رب مانتے ہیںاسے دنیا کی ہر قوم کسی نہ کسی خدا کو مانتی ہے ضروری نہیں کہ وہ پتھر وہ کوئی اور فزیکل چیز ہو وہ کوئی ایک فنکشنل باڈی بھی ہو سکتی ہے جیسے کہ لا دینی قوتیں اصل میں لا مذہبی قوتیں ہیں اور وہ حکومت کو اپنے سے بڑا مانتے ہیں یعنی وہ اپنے سے کسی نے کسی بڑی طاقت کو مانتے اس کے بعد سماحت ہے یعنی پاکیزگی یہ نفس جس میں شجاعت ہے بہادری ہے عفت ہے دنیا کی ہر قوم اس کو اچھا سمجھتی ہے اس کے بعد عدالت انصاف ہے یہ تمام بنیادی اخلاقیات کا مرکز اور محور ہے اگر امام شاہ ولی اللہ دہلوی رحمۃ اللہ علیہ کی کتاب حجۃ اللہ البالغہ کو کسی اچھے استاد سے پڑھا جائے تو یہ بات روز روشن کی طرح عیاں ہو جائے گی کہ اسلام ایک دین کے طور پر کس طرح کسی ملکی اور بین الاقوامی نظام کو قائم کرتا ہے اور اسلام کے متعلق پائے جانے والے تمام ابہام دور ہو جائیں گے اور یہ بات بھی واضح ہوجائے گی کہ اصل میں دین نظام اور سسٹم جو ایک ہی چیز ہیں ان کی بنیاد کیا ہے
