Or does it only imply that we should be transparent with the church members? I have sinned sexually and I would like to confess it to several people. I need strenght for it.

Because as God He was able to know that the mostly sinners will live forever in sin when we’re possible to confess their secret sins ONLY to God and not AT FIRST to the one which was hurt, insulted and lied through the secret sin. The died YOU cannot sin anymore and Christ in you He will surely never sin in the you. John 1:1 In the BEGINNING was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God. There should be no info that is hidden, that is what confession is about. The Bible clearly says, there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed. This shame cannot be avoided! Also Jesus said if anyone has anything against you make an agreement with them, because if they accuse you to the authority you will be imprisoned until you pay the last penny! This shows God will not forgive in the same way, unless the sin is dealt with!

@@stephaniemedastin9202 Yes, I have and plan to do more. I feel now like Job, when he said, O that my sins were written in a book! I say that, so that they can be examined and destroyed. Sin is evil! It is an evil spirit working to destroy us. We must be free from it's power; only Jesus can break it's power! He said, I Am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We must not stumble at the truth, so that we may receive the life.
