High pressure casting (commonly called die casting) is a kind of casting which is made by filling molten or semi molten metal into the cavity of die casting die at a very high speed under high pressure, then cooling and solidification under high pressure.

What is the advantage of that process over, say, just pouting the metal into the mold? Does the high pressure reduce/eliminate bubbles? I know injection molded plastic, which also happens at hight pressure, is sometimes not free of bubbles. Is the cast part less malleable if die-cast?

I wasn't aware of how hard they rammed the molten metal into the mold. Guess it makes sense, inertia would be your friend and any air would becompressed below visibility.

No, you need a different technique for that because steel has a way higher melting point

can you make a water cooled aluminum cylinder head with high pressure die casting? that would be game changing if so but im not sure if you can replicate the interior intake and exhaust plenums or the intricate water cooling passages ... is there any information regarding this?

Our shot bars and shot tips have water running through them so that the tip doesn’t swell up and get stuck in the cold chamber.

"Fatigue strength" is not an attribute a part can have. It's the name of a measurement. It sounds like you're selling injection molding by saying the parts have millimeters.
