In this video we will learn what are some of the grammatical rules of forming an Adjective phrase in Arabic Language. The three criteria that an Adjective must match its noun in are: (1) Case; if noun is a subject (then it has dhamma on its last letter) then the adjective must also have dhamma on its final letter so as to behave like a subject. If the noun is an object (noun has fatha vowel on its letter), then the adjective must also have a fatha vowel on its letter. The same goes for having kasrah.
(2) Number: If the noun is singular, the adjective has to be singular too. And if the noun is plural, then the adjective also has to be plural.
(3)Definiteness: If the noun is definite (that is it has Al (alif-laam) at its beginning) then the adjective should also be definite (that is it should also have al (alif-laam) at its beginning. If the noun is indefinite (that is it does not have alif laam at its beginning, then the adjective must also be indefinite.

Salaam. This is a wonderful video brother, may Allah reward you. I just have one question about the last point. When you say the definiteness or indefiniteness of the noun must match the adjective. What about bayt and al-jadid, when you matched these two word’s ending one of definite and the other indefinite. Can you please point out what I am missing from my understanding. Thanks.

walekumsalam...so there are two reasons for a noun to be definite..first is ..when it has alif laam...and the second is when it is mudaaf..here bait does not have alif laam but it is mudaaf to the definite noun al-imam... if you don't know what mudaf and mudaf elaih are..watch a video on murakkab idhafi..you will understand..shukran jazeela

Great point. From the context...you will have to look at the paragraph as a whole... or at least a sentence before and after it. if in the previous sentence (or sentences) the writer is talking about houses, then you know he/she means house here as well, and if imam then imam. 😅
