Heaven and Abrahams bosom are 2 completely different places. Abrahams bosom was a waiting area after death for righteousness people until Jesus sacrificed to remove our sin

i thought abrahams bosom/paradise are in the same realm as sheol/hades and the abyss, are they not separated by a great gulf of all the dead?, whereas heaven is in a different realm from the dead and earth. because heaven is a place of the living and most holy god, not the dead. to be absent in the body is to be present with the lord. for edit: hades is the temporary hell, the torment of sins, where as the actual hell is the lake of fire, eternal damnation

There are some topics in the bible that are unnerving or difficult to take in, this being one of them for me but is necessary like bitter medicine or vegetables.

Love the use of scripture to make your point!!! It sounds in line with the Word, but I'll have to dig deeper into the scriptures to be sure I fully agree with the summary. My instinct is to think you nailed it. Place for the people of Christ, and a waiting place for the rest, that then eventually becomes their permanent place of eternal separation from God where they will be torment with gnashing of teeth (as scripture puts it).

What's the purpose of being held in Hell to await the lake of fire? The only way that could possibly make sense is if those who die go to sleep or if there's a chance for redemption in Sheol.

It takes more than just believing in God to miss Hell. There is obedience to God's will that Believer's must submit to.

If Lord Jesus ascended to heaven upon his sacrifice for our sins, how come when Mary Magdalene comes to hug Him, He says: " Do not touch Me because I have not ascended to My father?"

This guy starts with the assumption that Jesus went to heaven with his Father when he was dead for 3 days.

So, those who have died the their sins goes to the place of the dead, not necessarily the time for prescribe torment, until that final day of judgment, the Great White Throne judgement? Hades is not just a place, it is both a place in the underworld and the name of the divine ruler of that place. All hail Lord Hades and Lady Persephone.

This is not accurate. Sheol/hades has two distinct districts Good and Evil: Abraham’s bosom/paradise and tartarus hell for angels/hell. This was made only for the Old Testament believers because they could not live up to the law to be holy enough to be with God in heaven. Jesus died therefore he went to paradise not hell because he could not be around corruption (Luke 23:43) to his believers and not to heaven and obtained the keys said in revelations to death and Sheol/Hades after Jesus resurrection. located in the heart of the earth (Matthew 12:40) and the veil was torn. So we as New Testament believers don’t go there anymore there is no purgatory because Jesus said it is finished. We believers have direct connection to God in heaven because he covers our sins with the blood of Jesus Christ. So up I go with all my imperfection I notice daily that I work on. When I die as a believer I’ll go to my father. Satan didn’t know the power of his death. To this day most people don’t know the power of his death either. So there is still now Sheol/Hades and it is Hell. This is what believers or unbelievers get confused if they use all these terms interchangeably.

What about Tartarus which is also translated as hell… 2 Peter 2:4 kjv and Sheol/hell in Hebrew and Hades/hell in Greek both mean the grave that’s where Jesus went when he died and the other souls like David are still there and buried waiting for the resurrection. You say that the Lake of Fire is the "final hell." Yet you use Luke 16:24 to describe it. But Luke 16:24 is the rich man in Hades, not Hell. So is Hades Hell? By reading Luke 16:24, it sure sounds like Hades is Hell. Maybe not "the final hell," but definitely a part of it.

The myth of Gehenna began to crystallize around 300 BC., during the intertestamental period. 1 Enoch describes souls in it, a burning fire, pain, darkness, and even a gate to Gehenna. During this period, Jews modified the Sheol of the OT by blending it with pagan ideas of the afterlife. By the time Christ came, a lot of Jews (though not all) believed in a Sheol inhabited with living souls. Christ used these myths, but not to authenticate noncanonical writings. Paul avoided the Greco-Jewish Gehenna and spoke more plainly.

Paradise is the lowest level of heaven out of 3. Heaven has third level just like the tabernacle; inner court, Holy Place and Holy of holies.

Jesus Christ hung dying, He told a convicted criminal being crucified with Him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise" (Luke 23:43). Many people think Jesus assured the man he would go to heaven with Him that very day. But is this really what He meant? The placement of the comma after "you" and before "today" would certainly seem to indicate this. However, notice how an entirely different meaning is conveyed if the comma is placed after "today" rather than before: "Assuredly, I say to you today, you will be with Me in Paradise." No punctuation in the original Bible texts We need to first understand that original texts of the Bible (Greek for the New Testament and Hebrew and some Aramaic for the Old Testament) used no punctuation. As Dr. E.W. Bullinger explains in The Companion Bible: "None of our modern marks of punctuation are found [in Bible texts] until the ninth century...The punctuation of all modern editions of the Greek text, and of all versions made from it, rests entirely on human authority, and has no weight whatever in determining or even influencing the interpretation of a single passage" (1990, Appendix 94, p. 136, emphasis in original). In most cases translators and publishers of the Bible have done an admirable job using punctuation to clarify the meaning of the Scriptures. By placing a comma before "today" in Christ's statement to the dying man rather than after it, they have Jesus saying something He never intended. A full three days after His death, Jesus Himself clearly said that He had not yet ascended to heaven. Jesus had earlier plainly said that He would lie in the grave for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40). The Scriptures nowhere say that His body was buried while His soul went elsewhere. Jesus died and was buried. He went only to the grave. Therefore the dying criminal could not have been with Jesus in heaven that day, because Jesus Himself did not go there then. If Jesus was not telling the man he would be in heaven or paradise on that day, what was He telling him? Future Kingdom and paradise on earth A fundamental principle for sound Bible study is to carefully check the context. Notice the specific wording of the man's request: "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom" (Luke 23:42). Notice that the thief expressed no expectation of immediately going to heaven with Jesus at the moment they died. He may have already known something about the nature of the Kingdom of God-that it would be a literal kingdom to be established on earth by the Messiah, which many Jews of that day understood. Jesus Himself had previously given an entire parable "because they thought that the kingdom of God would immediately appear" (Luke 19:11). Jesus also taught His disciples to pray, "Your kingdom come" (Luke 11:2). This Kingdom, as explained in our free booklet The Gospel of the Kingdom, is the Kingdom that Jesus will establish on earth at His return, not a location in heaven to which we go when we die. Notice also Jesus' response to the man, telling him, "...you will be with Me in Paradise." Understanding the nature of the biblical use of the term paradise is crucial to understanding this passage. The Greek word here translated "paradise," paradeisos, means an enclosed garden or park. In the Septuagint, a Greek translation of the Old Testament in common use at the time of Christ, this same word was used in references to the Garden of Eden. Besides its occurrence in Luke 23:43, the word is used only two other times in the New Testament. In both cases it refers to the place of God's presence. In 2 Corinthians 12:2-4 Paul describes a vision in which he "was caught up into Paradise." Paul says this paradise was in "the third heaven"-the dwelling place of God. Jesus tells us that "the tree of life" is located "in the midst of the Paradise of God" (Revelation 2:7). Revelation 22:2 explains that the tree of life is to be in the New Jerusalem. God will come from heaven with this New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2-3) after the resurrections of the dead mentioned in Revelation 20. Only at that time will men dwell with God in this paradise. Furthermore, the restoration of the land of Israel that will take place under the coming reign of Christ is compared in Isaiah 51:3 to the Garden of Eden-again, paradeisos in the Septuagint. Putting together all these scriptures, we can see that the paradise Christ mentioned, in which men will dwell with God in His Kingdom, is to be at a future time. How do we know this was Christ's meaning? Again, as noted above, Jesus plainly said He was going to be dead and buried for the following three days and nights, after which He clearly told Mary that He had not yet ascended to heaven. Some theologians and religious denominations try to redefine Christ's use of paradise to say that this referred to where the righteous dead went before Jesus came-a sort of temporary "holding place" next to hell because heaven wasn't available to them until Christ ascended to heaven after His death and opened the way for them to follow. This concept, however, is straight out of pagan Greek mythology about life after death (the Elysian Fields as the section of the Greek underworld for good people) and not something taught in the Bible. The idea that the righteous dead of Old Testament times went to a place called "paradise" and later ascended to heaven after Jesus was resurrected is disproved by the apostle Peter's plain statements in Acts 2:29 and 34-almost two months after Christ's death and resurrection -that King David "is both dead and buried" and "David did not ascend into the heavens." Putting together the relevant scriptures, we can see here the truth of the matter. The robber, facing imminent death while being crucified alongside Jesus (Luke 23:39-41), sought comfort and assurance. Jesus provided it, telling the man, "Assuredly, I say to you today, you will be with Me in Paradise." The "Paradise" of which Jesus spoke wasn't heaven, but the Eden-like world to which the man would be resurrected according to God's plan-as touched on later in this booklet. Hebrew idiom lost in translation Part of His reply, "Assuredly I say to you today" was a "common Hebrew idiom...which is constantly used for very solemn emphasis" (The Companion Bible, Appendix 173, p. 192). Examples of this Hebrew phrase, worded very similarly to Christ's statement, can be found in Deuteronomy 30:18 ("I announce to you today that you shall surely perish") and Acts 20:26 ("Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of all men"-New International Version). Many centuries later, when the punctuation marks we see in our English versions were inserted, Jesus' meaning was distorted by the wrong placement of the comma, and this Hebrew figure of speech was obscured. (Several other Bible translations and reference works, among them the Rotherham Translation, The Emphatic Diaglott, The Concordant Literal New Testament and A Critical Lexicon and Concordance to the English and Greek New Testament, recognize the Hebrew idiom and correctly place the comma after "today" for proper punctuation.) In conclusion, Jesus never said nor implied that the dying man would be in paradise or heaven on that very day. Christ was encouraging him by solemnly assuring him that a time would come, in God's future Kingdom on earth, when the man would be resurrected and would see Jesus again. This dramatic event can be properly understood only when we comprehend the time frame of God's plan of salvation and the promised resurrections described in the Bible.

It's not the story of Lazarus, it's the parable of the rich man. It's ALL about the rich man. Lazarus and Abraham are secondary characters, with Lazarus having practically no role at all in the story. Unless you want to believe that righteous souls can communicate with the wicked souls suffering in agony, and therefore hear their screams 24/7 as well, you have to realize this is a parable, not doctrinal teaching about the afterlife. The parable was spoken to the Pharisees and was a direct assault on their false beliefs and a condemnation for the Jews and what they were about to experience for rejecting and even killing their messiah. Earlier in that Chapter Luke Specifically mentions the Pharisees loved money. They also had the same false beliefs that prosperity preachers have today, that wealth is a sign of God's favor. Jesus makes it very clear that wealth isn't always a sign of God's favor, sometimes it's just a sign of your corruption. Also, earlier in Luke Jesus gets into an argument with the Pharisees who claim that Abraham is their father, and Jesus notes that God is able to raise children of Abraham from rocks if He has to. So, in the parable Lazarus is pictured outside the gate(a reference to the gentiles) starving hoping for even a morsel of food from the rich man's table. Food is many times a reference to the word of God, Jesus being the Bread of Life. This was a condemnation on the Jews for NOT witnessing to the world, to share God's truth and laws with the gentiles (worse they mostly conformed to the pagan gentile religions). Note also it specifically mentions the rich man had 5 brothers. Well Judah had 5 full blood brothers that were born to Leah. So again, more proof that the rich man was Israel and Lazarus the Gentiles. This was a parable to warn the pharisees that the goodness of the kingdom of heaven and the living word was about to be handed over to the Gentiles, that just as Jesus said earlier, God would raise children of Abraham from the Gentiles. This is also confirmed in Paul's writings, that not all children of Abraham are so by birth. The interesting twist is that the rich man asked Abraham to send Lazarus back (something he obviously had no power to do) to warn his 5 brothers. Abraham said they have the law and the prophets. Again, more proof the rich man is the Jews. Also, earlier Jesus told the pharisees that the law and the prophets spoke of Jesus, which they of course mocked. The rich man INSISTED they wouldn't believe because of the law and the prophets but WOULD believe if someone rose from the dead. Abraham assures them that even if someone were raised from the dead, they still wouldn't believe. What's so amazing is Jesus WOULD end up raising a man named Lazarus from the dead and not only was Abraham correct and saying they STILL wouldn't believe, but they actually plotted to kill both Jesus AND Lazarus after he was raised. Because the Jews rejected Christ and DID kill Him, they were cut off, just as the rich man was and as the rich man experienced fiery torment, so the Jews from that point on have experienced nothing but torment, from the destruction and burning of Jerusalem in 70 AD to the Holocaust and literally being burned up in the ovens.

Humans who go to the lake of fire will not live forever as they do not have eternal life instead they will be destroyed the angels who have fallen will live forever as they are eternal but they will receive the torment

The Bible never calls hell or any part of hell as paradise. It is mentioned only three times in the King James Bible and is always there UP ABOVE, in the third heaven. No scripture points to paradise in hell. Throughout the Bible hell is depicted as a place of punishment, torment, a very bad place. This teaching comes from jewish fables that the Bible commands us to avoid.

Not surely. this video contains speculation and imagination. First there was not punctuation in the Bible so nobody is sure to add a coma in the sentence. For example "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." could be "I tell you the truth today... You will be with me in paradise." Because let the reader understand. Jesus did NOT go to Heaven that day. Jesus died and descended in to Sheol for three days. so therefore you must have the coma in teh wrong spot. Sorry! Additional speculation in this video, the narrator claims that John is the disciple that Jesus loved. This is not fact. It is possible and more likely that Lazarus is the disciple who Jesus loved. Lazarus is called "the one you love". It also makes more sense that it was Lazarus at the cross, to whom Jesus said "this is your mother". Because Lazarus had a stable home, while the apostles were to be scattered and go out spreading the Gospel, so why leave Mary to John if John is scattered and fled and destined to spread the Gospel and die?

Sheol is the land of the dead, satan's headquarters (which he doesn't like and feels exceedingly discontent there), where the souls of the damned are. The Lake of Fire is even worse, and a location that satan himself fears, and is the final destination for all of the fallen angels and souls in Sheol, including the devil. The Kingdom of Heaven is the LORD's headquarters, and the place where people go when they pass or are raptured (translated) and have the sin debt paid in full by Christ Jesus at the Cross. Armageddon is when satan places his false prophet and beast on the earth, "And that no man might buy or sell, except he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." That time is close, but not here yet. Then comes the Kingdom Age: Jesus rules Jerusalem, all the people in Heaven come down to Earth and reign with Him, and satan is cast in prison for a thousand years. Then satan is released from his prison, he gathers the whole world against Christ Jesus and his reigning servants, and is devoured by the LORD's flame, which sends satan forever into the Lake of Fire. Jews don't believe in an eternal hell. They believe in a place of purging of sins before you move on to Heaven. Sounds a lot like Purgatory, funny there is very little discussion of this clear departure from Christianity.

The word ‘Hell’ is an English translation from the Greek word ‘Tartusus’, meaning the grave, Hades, the dark place. Replace every instance of the word Hell in the Bible with the word Grave and you will better understand its meaning. It’s the evil Catholic Church who devised ‘Hell’ being a place of endless torture for the wicked in order to instill fear and control into the populous during the Dark Ages. Satan is doing what he does best, to deceive you. There is no physical location where the wicked are tormented and punished for eternity. It’s not biblical. Hell is the grave. Nothing more, nothing less. At the end, there is the Lake of Fire. This is symbolic for the fire that God will reign down upon Satan, his demons and the wicked at the end of time, and as the Bible tells us, “they will be consumed” and will never exist again. This is the biblical meaning of “death” which is the wage of sin. You are forever separated from your Creator and His Love. No life. No conscience. The punishment is eternal, not the punishing.
