lol can't believe 8:09 has been beaten already by zylenox's 7:45. Also, FSG (filtered seed glitchless) isn't mentioned here. I think the major timecut is the hypermodern strategy of using buried treasure, shipwrecks, magma ravines, bastion routes, blaze bedding, educated portal, and zero cycling.

Couple things you're forgetting about... What if you spawned next to a near completed ruined portal that had a looting 3 sword, and you could just complete the portal. With perfect luck you could get 8 blaze rods with 2 blazes spawned (first blaze cycle). Then you could obviously get those 2 perfect pearl trades and blind travel into a cavern where the end portal room already is. This is much faster than digging down, and also happens a lot in hypermodern speed runs. I think the time can go down to about 6 minutes or so with perfect luck.

Its amazing how in only 5 months, the fastest speedrun went from 20 minutes to less than 10 minutes.

Damnit Wifies, I was going to make a video on this in like august, but due to an unfortunate series of events, my mic broke and I was not able to record it. If you see this, then the numbers I got were 14:00 realistically, and ~2:40 if you get a seed with the insane chance of 1/19,000,000,000,000,000,000 and blindly follow the same strategy, hoping that it works. My calculations were done when TheeSizzler still had the WR. I’d be interested in learning more about your thought process on this one, because I went all out. The best run would be where you practiced a certain seed and then spend years waiting for you to get that seed randomly. then you can get a nutty record which nobody will try to beat

Can't wait for speedruns to become so optimized speedrunners spawn in, get beds, dig straight down, land directly in a full end portal, and kill the dragon. Without a set seed.

And bedrock has a 13:04 world record and that won't be beaten because the pearl trade changes (1.16.100)

There is a hypothetical perfect seed in Bedrock (in Bedrock you can spawn above a stronghold? where you get a near instant Nether as well as food (golden carrots) and a Looting 3 sword in a ruined portal chest and beds from a nearby village. After this you would spawn in a fortress in a warped forest by a blaze spawner, killing an estimate of 4-5 blazes and then 4-5 endermen. With all this said you could get a record of near 5 minutes, even accounting for human error.

How to get the fastest possible RSG run: 1: When you load the world, you have to hear the end portal opening sound. This is pretty rare, but continuing without a completed portal will take a lot more time. 2: If there is an open end portal and you see a ravine and a stronghold spawned next to it, go down there. Also for a mineshaft with a spider room. 3: Find 2 diamonds and 1 stick in the chests to craft a diamond sword. Kill spiders and destroy cobwebs to get enough string for beds. Locate a library for the wood. 4 Go to end and one cycle the dragon with 4-5 beds. Congrats, you should have a sub 3 minute run by doing this. Oh, you're saying that is so unlikely to happen it isn't a reliable strategy? 5: Get lucky and continue trying if you didn't

What if a speedrunner randomly finds a set that is already known as a common set seed? He could know exactly where everything is while still technically being a RSG run.

Just use creative mode, it's easier

Good prediction ngl, but you could have taken into account ruined portals, you could get some really good loot from those chests, like gold and even a looting sword cutting down trading time and killing the blazes by some seconds but it wouldn't have made much of a difference. Good video :D

Tbh if you havent seen Nerdi's run the former top 7 (now top 8) the one with good blaze luck. The run is so different from your typical village run. He basically spawned in an island, found a shipwreck and made a fricking portal underwater. Also he was able to get beds from a bastion and basically skipped a fortress at spawn. That run had so much good decision making and was well played. New hypermodern meta rocks. Also there is a new 16 min run which also uses the hypermodern stategy and was 2 mins faster than Nerdis and its also 3rd place so I hope that gets featured

Technically, PhoenixSC has showed the fastest time possible time ever, he made a data pack that will spawn an end portal on you as you spawn, then tp you back right away.

Wifies: A time of 7 minutes and 69 seconds will "NEVER" be beaten on minecraft 1.16 Me: um, man you have some serious problems

The best is if you get extraordinarily lucky and the seed you randomly generate is exactly the seed you wanted, then you perform a flawless, TAS-like, SSG-like run as an RSG. This means you enter a ruined portal at spawn and pop out in the stronghold with one in the Nether or ten obsidian. You do not actually collect anything in the Nether as it is a 12-eye. You enter the end with nothing but beds and a couple blocks and race directly to one cycle the dragon. Estimated time: Breaking beds: 40 seconds. Repairing a ruined portal and entering 5 seconds. Going 140 blocks in the Nether with sprint jumping and some head hitters: 25 seconds. Repairing and entering another ruined portal: 5 seconds. Entering the end: 10 seconds Reaching the center: 15 seconds. One cycling the dragon as it perches immediately: 10 seconds. Waiting for the death animation: 10 seconds. So I don't think a Glitchless speedrun, random or set seed, could beat a time of 2 minutes.

Theoretically the fastest speedrun would start you in the end portal causing you to go to the end immediately. But to add in that outside the the portal room is a chest full of diamonds. Next the portal is already filled and activated. Finally the end dragon has a very good pattern. Look I don’t no how speedruns work so sue me.

This is literally a Vsauce video. Same music, same concept, just it’s Wifies, and that’s not a problem.

Over time (maybe hundreds of years) there will be rsg seeds that the runner knows is a full 12 eye.

I mean if you think about it theoretically the rsg record could be just the ssg run as it is possible to get the ssg seed randomly and so if someone is lucky enough they can get a really quick time.

There are ways that this could be faster: if there were multiple piglins, and they all dropped exactly what you needed, and extra enderpearls. You could use the enderpearls to pearl, which is faster. Another way to travel faster is if a piglin gave you soul speed 3 boots, which is unlikely but it will make you way faster in soul sand. At the beginnning, you made a stone pickaxe where you could have just mined one more cobblestone and stuck with a wooden pickaxe. When you spawned in the end, then you had to mine out the end stone to get to the top, but it would have been faster if it was on a platform, and you enderpearled to the fountain. There is also a chance for a ruined portal to spawn in a village, and there can be obsidian in the chest. If you used the obsidian to finish the portal, (given the portal didn't have any crying obsidian), then it would be a faster nether entry. just some thoughts, I'm thinking that the final result would be at least 30 seconds faster than what you were saying.

"you don't know the number of eyes in the portal and you can't just assume it's 12." I mean, you can. There's nothing in particular preventing you from getting exceptionally lucky and landing on a known 12-eye, recognizing the spawn, and immediately performing a set seed-like run.

It would be interesting to see how changes I difficulty would effect this, and what difference from easy to normal and normal to hard have the most transitional effect

I think the fastest way is to spawn immediately in a desert village, get 4 beds, go to a ruined portal right on the way to a desert temple, grab 1 obsidian, go in the temple, ignite the tnt, get the sand from the chests and build up, then jump in the portal right when the tnt explodes, and the dragon perched immediately and bed spamming until it dies.

Seems pretty accurate, only thing I’d say is that the nether portal can take you directly into the end portal room so you don’t have to dig down. Also soul speed 3 boots from the piglins or a ruined portal chest could speed up the nether travel

Heres my theory: The run times will be so optimised that they are almost not changing anymore. So people actualy start grinding for seeds with full portals and actualy leaving some steps out, like getting pearls, thus needing to guess the location of the stronghold. That wont lead to any results at first, so interest dies off. And some day one guy will beat it 2 minutes faster and bring the hype back.

Note: abdron has already gotten the 1.14 rsg world record about a week ago in less than 20 minutes
