I didn't see the whole video, but I can tell you from my own experience that hello theme is fastest of all other mentioned here. Even the page builder framework.

Honestly, Elementor is so powerful that theme became secondary. Its amazing what you can achieve.

Excellent video! Thank you very much. It would also be interesting to test the Really Simple Theme with the AMP plugin, I thought the results were excellent, very fast. But this theme is only for bloggers and writers, for now.

There is an option on Generatepress where it combines some css where it leaves 8 request only like astra .

Thanks for the info. Selecting a Theme is always a problem with me. Right now, I'm with Ocean WP. I like all of the options, so I'm stick with it for now.

Thank you for this fair comparison, Personally, I think the best themes are Ocean WP and ASTRA & in less degree some others (Astral, Phlox, Enfold, Envo multipurpose...) depending on the purpose of the site. So, would you please tell us more about Astra (free theme) which is lightweighted (supports only 50 KB on frontend) and breaks up very frequently ?!

Had to Google it because he mumbled: ShortPixel (he means Shortpixel Adaptive Images), WP Rocket, Redis & Perfmatters My opinion: Shortpixel - Gives higher rating on GT Metrix but slows down the actual load-in times of said scaled images... so pretty much useless WP Rocket - It's an ok service but the auto-delete interval sucks and can cause issues with scrolling (depending on the settings). WP Fastest Cache does not auto-cache up front but it has more features and doesn't auto-clear the cache. Redis - Hugely complicated (for the average Wordpress user) and only really makes sense if you use a CDN. If you don't have one, skip it. Perfmatters - Good tool for individual customization but largely unnecessary because if you have Autoptimize it serves all the same purposes BY DEFAULT which you have to manually assemble and configure on Perfmatters.

Mate I love your videos very very helpful to me. I am a software developer and I need a really fast woocommerce site. My App will also take customer purchase / license data from the database with WP & Woocommerce APIs. If we assume that 1000 users will connect to database (with my app) and at the same time the website (woocommerce webstore) needs to be fast also. So what do you suggest for this kind of system? For Theme, Hosting or any other methods? Maybe for this system I shouldn't use an ordinary system like hosting? Cloud system or something like Firebase? I am really really confused. I'd be appreciated for your help man.

what are your thoughts on Page Builder Framework vs GeneratePress? generally speaking, not just in terms of speed

GeneratePress is a lot further along.. Page builder framework is great but it has a bit of a ways to go.

Hi Adam, So I have a problem with my website... I can't get access to my website... Just a few hours ago, I tried to Add Google console for my website... It wants me to copy a TXT into my cPanel(Advanced Zone Editor). But I did wrong, I change the IP address of my website, And after about 40 minutes, I just can't access my website. I tried to reset the Reset Zone File but it still doesn't help. What should I do?

There are a bunch of CSS and JS options you can disable. Scroll to top is an exemple. If you do not use that function, you disable de related CSS/JS

In regards to speeding a website, its my understanding that the more plugins you add the slower the site becomes. How many plugins can you install before you should start worrying. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

It's not about the number of plugins. Some plugins are resource hogs, some are coded well and are fine. It's just a general idea that the more you add, the slower it becomes. But you need to know what plugins are slow and only add those you really need.

Google definitely uses the time it takes to load a page as a SERIOUS factor in search results rankings... how could you do a comparison of different themes and omit this critical factor? Of course different temporary environmental factors can affect loading times for the same page ... but that does NOT diminish the importance of knowing how one theme affects the loading times compared to other themes. That is why in any scientific test you do several runs of the same test so that you come up with an AVERAGE page load time for the test page. Without page load speeds I just don't see how I can use this info th make any decisions regarding which theme to use.

You seem to take things too literally. Yes they do and it's important. But this video is not about that because its completely idiotic to base a comparison on something random. I can test the same site 10 times and that number will be different 10 times. But the page size and requests will always be the same. That is what is important when comparing, not the time it takes to load.

@@WPCrafter has of course you will get different loading times each time you run the test ... the individual times are NOT important ... but the AVERAGE time is meaningful because THAT is what Google is going to factor into their ranking of your page in the search results. I think you will agree that something that will directly impact your Google rankings is EXTREMELY important. If you run your test 3 ti.es and take an average of the load times and then do another 3 tests and take the average of those results I will bet you that Thise 2 averages will be pretty close. If you increase the tests to 5 in each of the groups your averages will be even closer together. In addition to the impact on Google rankings your page load times also will have a HUGE impact on the bounce rate for your page. If you have a 3 second page load time your bounce rate should be around 7% ... but if your load time increases to just 7 seconds your bounce rate will explode to almost 33% So again seeing how the theme you choose impacts the success of your business. I strongly suggest you go back as nd run the tests at least 5 times each and get AVERAGE page load times. Then I suggest you install some optimization plugins (one at a time of course) and rerun the tests 5 times each. I think you will be surprised to see that different themes respond very differently to optimization techniques. In fact you should see that some themes actually load SLOWER after the page has been "optimized" ...

Also all these themes are blazing fast anyway. By the time you add plugins and other stuff to the page, the theme itself probably only contributes 10% to the load time.
